peter No, I learned the hard way to never remove a function that existed for a couple of years even if I think that no one is using it. There will always be someone very angry about this change. I'm not repurposing the double tap action.
I totally understand your concern but in this case I absolutely believe that 99.9% of users would benefit a lot more from the double tat to open the editor and just having the arrow to open and close the window is all that’s needed. In actual fact the double tap on lyrics on iPhone in portrait mode where it’s needed the most does not work at all and no one has complained and it’s the most needed there if anywhere, virtually everyone uses ST3 because of its lyrics capability as no one priority, editing lyrics and entering control data is most important to all of us it is unnecessary slow as it is so by speeding up the process to get to this complicated process it becomes more tolerable, yet a double tap on the window to just open or close a window which we all probably don’t need a lot and it’s not even available on the iPhone portrait mode where it’s needed the most and on the other devices we already have an arrow is a total misuse of a potentially great way to bounce between a very time consuming and always used facility, what you have done is similar to what is happening on our wonderful roads in Australia humps have been placed everywhere to slow down traffic for the 1% of people that don’t obey speed rules, this inconveniences 99% of normal drivers that follow the rules, the humps still don’t stop the idiots driving badly yet it’s a great pain in the butt for all of us that do obey the rules, this is one of those logical moments.
