I'm wondering if there is any desire or ability to add in some basic transition effects for the transition from Background Image/Video to a triggered video, and then same again from video back to the Background Image/Video?

The reason I ask..
I'm in the processing of setting up a bunch of videos for a new show.
Backing tracks will be in ST and firing a MIDI trigger to launch an associated video in SC.

The original plan was to:

Use a static background image in SC (band logo on black background)
Because the audio tracks all have a few seconds top and tail for count-ins, MIDI events, etc., the videos also need to be top and tailed and the thought was to use the same background image.

So in SC when the show is running, the output display would be:

Between songs - Background Image (white logo on black background)
Song Starts - video starts with same white logo on black background as background image, then main video content comes in as band/backing audio starts.
Song comes to end - video content transitions back to white logo on black background while audio track tails off
Song ends - video ends and SC transitions back to Background Image (white band logo on black background)

What I've been observing is that the transition from Background Image to Video, and at end of song, Video to Background Image is very noticable. There is quite literally a 1 frame 'flash', probably made worse in our case as we are using a predominatnly black background image, and the transition flash is white.

So I was wondering if there was any (1) desire, and (2) ability to add some lightweight transition effects?
From an implementation perspective, I think it would be ideal to be able to:

Configure a default transition (if you just want something to be used for every transition), and
On each video, the ability to configure a start and end transition, which would override a default transition setting

All I'm wanting is a simple dissolve transition to smooth my transition between background Image and Video - I'm definitely not expecting Adobe Premiere Pro and 27,000 transitions library driven by AI, etc etc 🙂
