I’ve been setting and doing tryout runs with the app and my entire live rig.
I use the Morningstar foot controller and I have been experiencing an issue.
There’s a difference or a bug, in the behavior of the app when the control is PC and CC. Specifically in the “select next & previous regions” I had all the controls in the Morningstar set as CC commands. For
Play, Stop, Crossfade, Mute cues, Mute Click, Next region, Previous region, Mute all audio, Show mixer, Show side bar.
In total 10 commands. But the only 2 that were out of control were the next & previous regions, while I was trying the show, everything was running smoothly until it suddenly started to select randomly the next region and previous, totally random and out of control. But all the other commands were fine.
So, I did a few changes and tried with different midi commands, same CC but different number, and the same thing happened.
I changed all the cables, changed the switch that triggered the next&previous action, changed the press for double tap, turn off and on everything.
And the same bug kept happening. I even deleted the midi command in ST4 and used the same CC number for other action and it was fine, even use the same CC command with the pedalboard and all fine.
So after discarding every possible scenario it has to be a bug in the select Next & Previous regions.
But! It works flawlessly if I use PC commands instead of CC commands, so I left it as PC.
But I begs the question if ST4 has better response to PC than to CC or it is just a bug?
