Lyrics color issue

Not sure if it's a bug or if I'm doing something wrong. When importing songs from ST3 backup into ST4 the colors of the formatted text/lyrics change. For example a line like # {c:red}INTRO GUITAR{c} {c:green}E{c} appears just white. Any ideas what the reason might be?

Intermazed can you share a screen shot of your lyrics editor as it looks ok on the face of it?

Maybe it is highlighted and your highlight color is white?

Your example is rendered correctly for me.

Intermazed if you go into settings>autoscroll and change the highlight mode from colour to brightness it should fix it. I think it’s because they aren’t timestamped and why the top half of the song isn’t in colour but the bottom bit is.

Thanks! That solves part of it. Perhaps i need to mention that this song is without backing track. In the acoustic songs i have only timestamps set. So the full lyrics are highlighted as I need to see all of it. This screenshot shows how i have the song in Stage Traxx3.

Your timestamp at 00:50 automatically makes all lyrics up to that timestamp active and highlights them. So either disable highlighting completely or use the color mode for highlighting.

This is definitely not a bug and working as intended.

Intermazed If you are going to use time-code stamps, it is important to read through the detail of using time-coded lyrics here - https://stagetraxx.com/docs/v4/song-details/lyrics/autoscroll/#time-coded-lyrics

The behaviour you encountered is called out "A single timestamp highlights all text until the next timestamp."

Now that can be a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on the outcome you are trying to achieve 🙂

The other important setting relevant to your situation is Highlight mode (ref: https://stagetraxx.com/docs/v4/settings/general/autoscroll/#highlight-mode)

If you wants to stay with your current process of just using a few time-code stamps throughout the song, but not have the current block of text change to the same highlight colour, you could try using Brightness as the highlight option. This will preserve all your text colouring.
