peter Hi Peter, just seen your first Utube Video, great job! It sounds like you did it in one take and the video editing is very nice.
Suggestion (of course) i cant help myself.
What i think would be really good is to have a first video of a simple explanation of what ST3 is and does for the new potential users.
This video feels to me should be the 1st of tutorial videos, and its great, but i would have created a sales introduction video first to explain to fist time potential users what ST3 is about, what will it do for them, where can it be used, on Stage, solo artists, bands,at parties, in concerts, DJ, and any others, very general explanation but more concentrated to explain to users what they can use this software for, once you have your audiance interested as they have an idea of what ST3 is, then you start the detailed explanation videos.
Dont forget the already ST3 users dont need these videos we already know its power, you need the first video to explain to absolute new users to quickly decide if its for them or not, once you have convinced them they need this software then you give them the simple walk through then a much more in depth stuff in later videos.
Basically im saying have a sales video first only then the instruction videos.
ST3 is very usable as just a songs storage software not just musicians on stage but general people need to be explained this in the introduction video that opens their eyes to the potential of this software, a whole new market is out there you just need to present it to the world, and boast about it. There are a lot worse software out there that are well advertised and people are using the crap you have a great program that can do so much if only people knew about it.
Suggestion when creating a video.
Write down everything you are going to say use an autocue app, no use ST3 lyrics only feature like an auto cue set a scroll speed and youre done (perfect) there, i found another use for ST3 (Autocue), play your text near the camera, keep the speed nice and slow and relaxed without stutter or umming and ering , once you have a really good audio track create your video to the audio it will end up much more pleasant to listen to for longer videos , it takes a bit more work but a much better result can be achieved, some little mistakes are ok as it gives it natural flavour , you dont want it to be overproduced as it can put some users off, they might think its a good sales pitch but the product is not so good, a good balance is the best , you are almost there with the first video it just needs a little more polish to be perfect.
In the introduction perhaps mention you are the creator of this software and explain a bit to why you have created this software mainly for but what it also can do for so many other users if they wish to try it, this then immediately makes them understand what ST3 is about.
If you start talking technically straight away it might frighten potential users away as it might seem to hard to understand, you need to entise them to try it first, give them information where they can download the app at begining and end of the introductary video.
Sell it first explain how it works second.
Dont forget potential users might stumble on the utube video and have no clue to what it is but might really benefit from it if they gave it a go.
I like the Auto cue facility on ST3 i dont need another app now, its great!
You could say this app is becoming a pocket Swiss knife , a must have app.
So nice to finaly see and hear you.
