When trim data is changed and saved in trim player it is not recognized when played in main player.
Observation
In main player if you manually drag the waveform beyond the trim start position than drag it back it will stop at the start trim position and play from there once started, but if you exit the song and come back to it again the trim start is still ignored and the song starts from the beginning even though the waveform shows correctly.

When trim is changed, sometimes it is not recognized in its own player, and it will sometimes auto trigger playback.

Sometimes Even though the bar graph indicates the correct data when you hit play it is ignored and playback starts from beginning, and sometimes it ignores the end and plays right through to the end.

I have had an instance when two audio playbacks have occured at the same time, as i entered a trim time and hit enter the main player started as i thought the trim player triggered i hit to stop it but it actually started as well and i heard the same track playing on top of each other , i had to stop the trim player exit to the main player and stop it.
Some of my observations on playback and trim so to help you sort things out.
I noticed if you clear start trim to 0:00.00 then enter a time say 1:00.00 the trim player will start correctly as long as you don’t exit the player if you do exit than come back to it the 1 min mark will be ignored although the waveform indicates correctly.
Now clear the start trim to 0:00.00 again and enter 1:00:00 then hit play and let it play for 10 seconds hit pause than drag the waveform to the end than hit play you will notice the song starts at 1:10.00 instead it should be 1:00.00.
It seems the end of the song reverts to the last pause position instead of start of the trim time.
If you play the song right through without pause when it finishes it just stays at the end, it should automatically go to beginning of your start trim position and wait for a play command again.
When you clear all data in Start trim and hit enter it diverts to 0:00.00 which is correct.
When you clear all data in Stop trim and hit enter it also diverts to 0:00.00 this is incorrect it should automatically divert to the end of the actual song length.
At the moment you can only get back to your actual song end again is by entering a higher time frame than the actual song is.This is not practical.

When you set a Stop trim lets say 2 minute mark you get an automated 15 second preview setting so you can just hit play and hear your edit, except the song starts from the begining of the song ignoring Start trim setting but the waveform actually starts at the correct 15 second offset.
