We are all different, I tried airturn a while back, I’m in the dressing room, I hear the dj yapping, I stop my music, which should have engaged the next song which was my intro, walk on to smoke and all the rest of it ..he announces me I click play, and nothing, I have to walk on stage and like a plonker press play stand there waiting for my song to start etc, so since Im doing the mix off my pad, I do stop and play song selection from my pad too, basically cut out anything that can go wrong.
You didn’t say you were using pedals to navigate through your lists and song selection etc, but I’m gonna suggest,if you can see the iPad, surely you have to see it?? why not navigate with your finger, if you are front man, both actions disconnect you from the audience, if someone else has their gaze, no problem ??
royandreno If we can select songs in songlist with a single tap, why not have that option when selecting songs to the queue folder?
Only Peter can answer this, but I’ll argue that it’s a recipe for disaster, we are back to this one tap then press play versus 2 taps then press play, surely you can’t expect Peter’s software to know what you want to do post 1 tap selection?.if you are in queue mode then exit to a playlist containing a song you want to play, surely you accept selecting a song with one tap, and it plays instantly or jumps to the top of the queue list is going to lead to disaster for all of us,
Ok so I’m using st4 as I type this, queue enabled, automatic queue handling is disabled.
I have an empty queue, I go go playlists, long press on REGGAE, gives me the option to add to queue or play next, because it’s an empty queue, both actions give same result…ok let’s go back to beginning …I have an empty queue and navigate to reggae in playlists, I tap it once and I see what’s in the list, I tap a song once and thank god it does nothing, because you have to tap on a song to scroll the list, are you with me? Ok so select the reggae song you want and long press it and you have the option to play it or queue it …the result is the same as it’s an empty list.
So now let’s imagine you have loaded 45 minutes of music in to your queue, and you get a request for simply the best, you navigate to that song in whatever folder it’s in, a long press on this song gives you the option to send it to the top, or the end of the queue, I really don’t see what more anyone could expect from this software.
Ok so you threw me with your airturn thing I get that. But look this is going on too long now, I’m going to wish you well and leave you to it.
Good luck
