Isn't that a 220kOhm resistor? A 220 Ohm resister should have red red brown or red red black black as color codes.

I spent a year programming my lights, It was a labour of love, but it looks a million times better than auto. You can buy a usb to dmx dongle for about 40 quid, use a free program on your laptop to create the scenes and sequences and then trigger the start of these sequences, turn on smoke, and all the rest of it from stage Traxx.

    Ralphm hi mate

    ok dead easy this. Download rtp midi and install this free program on your laptop. Put your iPad ( rtp won’t work with android) and pc on the same wireless network. Run rtp on your laptop and you see this window. And you connect and hopefully that’s that bit done.

    Broken laptop is what I call my pc, the hinges broke so it has Frankenstein hinges, bonjour by apple gives it this name, kev Tyler pad, that’s my pad. 🙂

    Then then on stage Traxx 3 or 2 go in to lyrics and embed a midi command in square brackets in to a song.

    When you press play, your machine will receive the midi. You then need to do something with this instruction. Mine is picked up by Showmagic and triggers audio dmx which comes out on a entec dongle to my lights. I use a Roland um one mk 2 dongle to then send info to my digital mixer, you might want to send this info to an fx processor or guitar pedal board. It’s easy once you develop a logical way of doing things. So you want some lights ok, so you create a basic scene in showmagic and it will trigger this scene from within a song, the the song can be blank if you like, it’s a bit too much to explain in one go. But I’ll help you step by step. Will send some links in the next edit.

    And a 5 pin dmx plug to either a 3pin or 5 pin dmx plug.

    Then you go in to your lyrics on st3 and add a midi command. To your lyric, I have offset mine by a second because if my laptop misses this, I’m going to look bloody stupid, faffing between apps and laptop.

      im using a free midi monitor MIDI-OX 7.0.2 on my PC for monitoring too (for novices it’s worth switching the hex option off for the input and output so it shows normal numbers)

      had some iPad issues and not able to get it sorted during lockdown till now!

      I will definitely pursue this option once I am able to buy the needed gear as we are not able to do this during our lockdown

        just give me a shout when you are ready and I’ll help you through it. I converted all my lights to wireless dmx with the modules off eBay, 6 Uk pounds each, everyone told me I was nuts, they were wrong, I have saved a load of time setting up, plus no need for 100m of dmx daisy chains. They are something to think about when eBay gets back to normal.

            Kevtyler hi I have watched your video and don't understand how you actually made the light scenes, I understand about using midi commands to trigger the scenes but not how to make scenes in the first place. I have a simple kam party bar (4 led pars). I was thinking of getting a wireless ethernet dmx controller to do it, would it work? If not what could I buy as wireless dmx as I don't think I could wire a box like yours😒

            P. S I have my voicelive 3 working via midi commands😁

              OK I need help ready to sort midi commands for dmx within my lyrics pages. I have no idea how to do it for my lighting though. I would upload a pic of the manual but forum gives error.

              Beejaywh I have a enttec converter on the way. How do I work out the midi code to switch the lights? I want to ebbed in the lyrics like you have done.

                  Kevtyler I'm completely stuck with how I code it within the lyrics, I have the lights working on sliders within vibrio and somehow vibrio is picking up stagetraxx as an interface. But it means nothing to me lol.
