Yesterday was my first concert with ST4, and I'd like to share my impressions and a couple of suggestions. Overall, it went well, with no crashes but a few minor annoyances. The worst thing was not being able to skip to the next song without having to open the Playlist tab. There are two reasons for this: The ānext songā function doesn't work outside the āSongsā and āPlaylistā tabs. This bug is known and will be fixed, OK. Second, on songs without tracks, the slider never pauses at the end of the song (which is the case on ST3), so you have to stop it manually before you can choose another song (by first opening the Playlist tab). I don't know if this bug has been reported.
For recommendations, it would be nice to be able to choose the desired action with a double-tap (open Playlist - open Full Screen - or other). An on-screen song volume bar (like on ST3) to quickly adjust as needed would also be appreciated (maybe the option exists but I haven't seen it).
Otherwise, everything went well, despite my old ST3 reflexes, which will fade with time! The integration of Sysex is an extraordinary addition because it allows me to control my vocal effects pedal. And the greatly reduced latency for track playback is also great. For me, these two features alone are worth the price of upgrading to ST4.
