Anything is possible, but I think by dropping the levels and upping the USB gain on Helix,
I firstly had a cleaner signal, and the I was driving the processor less, and I used a more
detailed graphic EQ, so sound was def better, cleaner, more detailed.
This is in a venue I know very well, been playing there about 10 years.
More stems meaning a bit more work to mix them in properly, and i have to say
that working the new mixer behavior was very good, easy.
On my side it's mostly strings and acoustic guitars that needed to be mixed in
a little because usually I'd mix them softer when I have a some
with more instruments so they don't take over, when I bounced some of them
I did that louder so i can decide where to place them, so obviously that
gave me more work in the beginning of some tracks, thats ok.
by the chorus I have all these songs dialed in and not to be touched again.
I guess Im going to have the mixer open for the next few months until
I mix all those new stems in the way I want to hear them. I can see just enough lyrics
for most songs, only a couple of them I needed to close the mixer for a section of the song.
