Hi there both of you. To answer Peter's question, I use Stage Traxx on my MacBook Air, version Sonoma 14.
On Damir sugestion, I used the Up and Down buttons in different positions, but always with the same result, The "Learning" window stays and the up button moves the line up and the down button moves a line down.
So I hope I made myself clear, the up and down buttons are not axcepted anymore byStage Traxx. The only reaction is, the up / down buttons move one line up or down.

OK, so there we have the problem. The Airturn acts as a bluetooth keyboard. So macOS intercepts all key presses before they are sent to the app. Now cursor up and down (in mode 2) is always interpreted by macOS and never sent to the app. I guess this happened in the Sonoma update.

You need to select a different mode.

Even better would be to use a device on macOS that can use the Airdirect mode or act as a bluetooth midi device.

Thanks Peter, I'm glad you understand my problem. I tried all the 6 different settings on AirTurn, setting 6 works well, volume up and down, stop/play, and next song, the only function that does not work is previous song.
I don't really understand your last remark about bluetooth midi device

The newer Airturn devices run in a mode called Airturn Direct which does not emulate regular key presses. They work better and will not be affected by this issue. Same as devices like the IK Blueboard that send MIDI commands instead of key presses.

Ok Peter, I finally tried setting 7 on AirTurn III and now all functions worked, sound up and down and all other functions as well. So all is well that ends well.

Btw, I can confirm that the behavior of the up and down keys has changed in Sonoma. Before Sonoma they could be used to assign actions. Now these two keys are not sent to the app but captured by Sonoma and used to scroll the view. In my opinion this is a backward step. The app should be able to decide what to do with these keys and not macOS.

Totally agree, I have not used my DIGIT 3 yet since the software update I’ll be fuming if my buttons have changed operation.

Good morning Peter and Damir, so as I understand correctly it is a Mac Sonoma related problem. But as I mentioned before, when switching from setting 2 to setting 7 on your Digit 3, all works well.

I am not sure what setting 7 is as the manual only states 6 different settings but apparently it does not use up / down keys for the up / down buttons.

Ok Peter, I'll explain. On the AirTurn DIGIT III you have a mode button, you can set it by pressing it and counting the number of flashing, if you let it flash once it is setting 1 etc. etc. I didn't know either that there was a seventh setting possible. To do this, you let it flash 7 times, it responds by flashing 7 times. So this is setting 7.
And it works as setting 2 before.

Helle Pieter, I need your help again, it's about AirTurn DIGIT III. I explain : I use this device on my MacBook Air and also on my iTab and iPhone. On iPad and iPhone it works very well, I used setting 2 on AirTurn.
However on my MacBook Air I have a problem, it doesn't work at all. I use the latest version Sequoia 15.1. As I mentioned in an earlier message , I have to use setting 7 on AirTurn. But that does not function anymore.
I have been in contact with Apple and we were able to make it work. But after stopping and restarting the computer it did not work anymore. I don't really know who can help me. Is it an Apple, Stage Traxx or AirTurn problem?

I had similar issues, contact AirTurn first to get help then Apple, ST3 is not your problem as Digit 3 works fine on my setups and gave me the least problems compared to AirTurn 6 foot pedal.

Just a thought , upgrade your firmware on remote, and use the correct mode.

The Airturn Digit II just acts as a keyboard. The Mac version supports keyboard shortcuts out of the box. You don't need to activate Airturn support for it. So just make sure Airturn support is disabled and then assign commands as usual. No idea what setting 7 is as the manual only mentions 6 settings. But try different settings I guess mode 2, 3 or 5 should work. If it does not work, please get in touch with Airturn support.

I did already upgrade my Digit 3. But without success. I overcame the problem on my MacBook by using a fixed set up procedure :
1 Start Macbook
2 Start Digit 3 but in settings 2
3 Find Digit 3 in BlueTooth
4 Start ST3
5 Change Digit 3 setting from 2 to 7
And then I obtained the requested results.
