So after a few hours of “workarounds” and thinking outside the box

Lightrider on the iPad can be controlled via midi and STAGETRAXX3

it’s not a straightforward setup,
But if your already invested in this system,
It works perfectly

The app is ok, almost double the money as Photon but mostly lots of issues with running in the background and very little to nonexistent help from their tech team.

Ive already got me refund and a week later someone on their facebook page replied “how can I help?”

The app is nice for quick scenes, but for the live feel and proper control I found it lacking and pretty toy-ish.

Photon has a full on forum with help from users and creators/admins of the app.

Just picked up a PKnight CR011R to test with photon

Could you please share your settings in terms of
What you changed on the art net device
And what you have changed in the settings
Such as multicast or Unicode,
Node ip, subnet and universe

A screenshot would be great

As I say I’m just using what I have at my disposal for now

Most of my scenes are customised and overrides the app most of the time

With art net there is no drop outs but that’s an add on

I use LightKey app and just send MIDI CC's to set it up.

The plan is to use Ableton Live to program sequences for each songs. LightKey and Ableton Live seems extra ordinary good in combination.. just need some time to get it done. Check this video! and this video!

How do you find your PKNight unit? mine is the 2.4G unit (watch the vid) and i have been having some latency issues and thinking about getting what you got as i'd prefer to setup my own network (apple routers) that is more robust and works at 5G rather.

The Artnet CR011R has been working flawlessly with my router

Solid connection and never fails
I briefly tested out Photon 2,
I can confirm it works with no issues

Unfortunately they did an update, which stopped midi functionality (that they didn’t know worked)

I’ve been in talks with them and explaining how it worked etc and could they do a fix and they have no plans to reinstate it

Flame (the new version) is 2 years over the ETA

I recently bought a Wolfmix and only use Lightrider on small set ups
