peter But that will be possible on a song to song basis when song properties will contain the metronome setting for that song. I don't see anyone constantly switching a global metronome setting on and off.
The way I would use the visual metronome.
All my songs would have visual metronome available at all times, for the reason, it gives me prior warning of speed before I start any song if I choose or not choose to start with backing , it’s also enabled for when I pause in a song and add-lib which then allows me to be in good sync when I start the next loop , now I can do this with any song as the visual click is available on all my songs , BUT THIS DOES NOT MEAN I NEED TO HAVE THIS FLASHING IN MY FACE ALL NIGHT I ONLY WANT THIS WHEN AND WHERE I CHOSE IT SO BY BEEING ABLE TO JUST EASILY ENABLE IT WHEN NEEDED ON ANY SONG BECOMES VERY USEFUL , every song has the capability of its needed setting but I have the final say to when I choose to enable it or disable it.
Some gigs I might never want it as I am not manipulating the audience other times I might need it all the time or perhaps every so often .
It means it gives the user the option everything does not have to be pre programmed as it can be manipulated live.
