peter But that will be possible on a song to song basis when song properties will contain the metronome setting for that song. I don't see anyone constantly switching a global metronome setting on and off.

The way I would use the visual metronome.
All my songs would have visual metronome available at all times, for the reason, it gives me prior warning of speed before I start any song if I choose or not choose to start with backing , it’s also enabled for when I pause in a song and add-lib which then allows me to be in good sync when I start the next loop , now I can do this with any song as the visual click is available on all my songs , BUT THIS DOES NOT MEAN I NEED TO HAVE THIS FLASHING IN MY FACE ALL NIGHT I ONLY WANT THIS WHEN AND WHERE I CHOSE IT SO BY BEEING ABLE TO JUST EASILY ENABLE IT WHEN NEEDED ON ANY SONG BECOMES VERY USEFUL , every song has the capability of its needed setting but I have the final say to when I choose to enable it or disable it.
Some gigs I might never want it as I am not manipulating the audience other times I might need it all the time or perhaps every so often .
It means it gives the user the option everything does not have to be pre programmed as it can be manipulated live.

The issue isn’t necessarily ST3 problem, but I came to rely on this after you’ve introduced multitrack.

My Helix (my guitar pedal) serves as a central hub, kinda like a mixer, it allows me to plug in multiple sources of sound, my guitar, vocals and tracks and I’m able to process them all separately with EQ compression etc.

Plugging the iPad using USB (with camera adapter) into helix introduced another issue where certain other apps don’t allow routing like ST3, and further, USB1/2 are only routed directly to the output without the ability to process them.

I have since built up a system, preset that allows me to use everything I need from one iPad, running Spotify on the side while using ST3 and those are routed directly to outputs without processing other than the channel strip I bought (visual EQ console), and the click/count in is running through USB 3/4 where I can direct it to headphones out along with the XLR output (no latency between them).

When I do a band gig I simply plug in stereo out but only send the click through another output on the helix to the drummer, and sub mixes his Edrums with a small mixer along my stereo out (tracks guitar and vocals).

This set up saves me the need to take a bigger more elaborate mixer setup, setup times are easy and there’s no need for many cables between what I do/need and a mixer, monitors etc.

I have come to rely on that processor so much that no being able to use it is going to take precious time, I’ve spent more than a year now barely getting to multitrack about 300 of my 500 string repertoire, and it’s all based on my workflow with my helix, that’s my meat and potatoes, I’ve managed to get to a point where 6 tracks are ok for me, two more will be good but taking my master out processing right now isn’t going to work for me. It’s tones of unnecessary work, it took so long to “balance” my sound and now I’ve got to do it again?

Please find a way to make it possible to route one single stereo output as before (busses or no busses) to the AU and your own master EQ.
I have no other way to make this work for me under any other circumstances. Not with my current setup.

Otherwise I’d be fine with 3.7.5

Thank you for all your hard work. Your app is light years ahead of any other app.

Damir I simply have no space available for another button. Maybe as an assignable button. But I don't see another option.

Sharonzaz Thanks for the explanation. I will see if I can find a way.

        Hi Peter, excellente as usual.
After first loading the Beta Version and restoring a backup file, I opened the settings and it was a blank screen. Not sure why. I closed and reopened the App and it worked. See attached image.

The highlighting of timed lyrics with brightness is brilliant (no pun intended!), and very useful for me personally.

Regarding the User Preferences that are synced with iCloud, is there a list of specific User Preferences that are, or are not synced? I do most of my StageTraxx work on my Mac, and find it very useful to use the syncing feature. However, other than my Mac, at different times I am using StageTraxx on an iPhone Pro Max, an iPad Mini or an iPad Air. There would be certain preferences that are device specific, and I’d rather not have them overwritten by the sync.

            Hi Peter,
I noticed that if you are using visual Metronome, then you cannot use two-finger zoom to adjust the lyrics size. It is still possible to zoom text using the buttons, however. Is that a limitation of the visual metronome or a bug?

              Hi Peter,
I noticed that if you crossfade from a “lyrics only” song to a “multi track song”, then it is no longer possible to “Waveform seek during playback” until the track is paused and played again.
UPDATE: Waveform seek during playback seems to be buggy whenever the crossfade is used

                Hi Peter,
In “Assign Actions” you do not enable “Toggle mute track 7 or track 8. Is that intentional?

peter I simply have no space available for another button. Maybe as an assignable button. But I don't see another option.

                  I totally understand, suggestion,
You have unnecessary duplicate functions in places they don’t need to be yet functions that are practical and need to be available at hand you have no room for, example , song Properties is an area we can access while a song is playing and really only needs to have in this area things we need while playing live and not things that are doubled up in function or never needed to be changed on the run.
Example song volume and pan are things that can be controlled on the main interface and in song detail so why hog this space with this when metronome control could be there with all functions , master on off , individual song off, stop, play, both I would also add in this place the tempo tap and numerical change of tempo so it is available while playing a song.

Secondly why have the song title colour change in song properties surely it’s not something you are going to need while a song is playing , this should be in the pre production stage in song details as it’s something you make a choice on when at home and not while performing, there are greater needs this area should use like multitrack solo and mute facility so you can massage the backing while on the run.

Don’t duplicate functions in different areas it just creates confusion and hogs valuable realestate and bloats the software ,I know it seem like it’s handy but I rather learn one way to do something than have 3 options and get confused to what I am doing.
Think of it there are pre production needs and on stage needs and keep things in their right place .
You have done a fantastic job so far but there are things that still need fine tuning.
Can’t wait for the final results
Loving the metronome idea I can definitely see it’s usefulness for all users if implemented correctly

Oh just to add, send all notes off, is something a few midi users might need rarely, why not place that at the bottom of this area and have multitrack mutes/solo buttons at the top followed by all tempo metronome settings and then pitch speed and transpose as these are the most likely things the majority of users will want to tweak while performing
                  Cheers Damir

                  Found a small logic BUG
if you enable metronome on a song then open song properties, you can not anymore close song properties touching the lyrics area.
I think it’s due to the new metronome flashing screen addition.

Thanks guys, good feedback so far. Will keep me busy for some time 😉

Tim_pbjp After first loading the Beta Version and restoring a backup file, I opened the settings and it was a blank screen.

I think the reason is that your backup had the dark mode disabled while it was enabled when restoring the backup. This particular change is rather difficult to achieve in iOS. I will take a look at it.

Showtime Regarding the User Preferences that are synced with iCloud, is there a list of specific User Preferences that are, or are not synced?

Only with the internal names that mean nothing to you. But I can assure you that anything I consider device specific is not synced. Which settings do you consider important to no be synced?

Tim_pbjp I noticed that if you are using visual Metronome, then you cannot use two-finger zoom to adjust the lyrics size.

Yes, the metronome somehow captures touches. I will take a look at it.

Tim_pbjp I noticed that if you crossfade from a “lyrics only” song to a “multi track song”, then it is no longer possible to “Waveform seek during playback” until the track is paused and played again.

Interesting, I did not change anything in that regard in this version. Will take a look.

Tim_pbjp In “Assign Actions” you do not enable “Toggle mute track 7 or track 8. Is that intentional?

                    I forgot to add those.

Damir if you enable metronome on a song then open song properties, you can not anymore close song properties touching the lyrics area.

I think that is related to the zooming and manual scrolling issues when the metronome is enabled.

For the time being I will keep the "unneccessary" song properties in the popup as this and the song details popup are the same code and I don't want to seperate them at this point in the version 3 lifecycle. Version 4 will change all this anyway.

Beautiful build Peter. For those of us who have the Pro and an Apple pencil, any plans to use it in v 4?

jzavaletta You can already use the pencil to edit annotations on pdf files. What would be your use case?

peter Hi Peter, I would like the same or similar for NON-PDFs. Just scribble a quick note. Simple stuff.. Like this

Not sure how to do that on a text only view. I will make a note to look at this in version 4.

                          peter
Settings that I think should be device specific:
                          USER INTERFACE
                          THEME
                          - Color Settings
                          - List Font Size Modifier

                          LYRICS/PDF
                          TEXT SETTINGS
                          - Device Size Modifier

                          CHORD SETTINGS
                          - Chord Size Modifier

                          REMOTE CONTROL
                          - Assign Actions

So today I tried the beta with my usual setup, which consists of an iPad, a Behringer UMC1820 audio interface, and StageTraxx usually hosted inside AUM (using Inter-App Audio). I could not get any audio output from StageTraxx whatsoever when using my audio interface, either through AUM or using STB standalone. When I disconnected my audio interface, I could get audio out of the ipad’s speaker.

I replaced the beta with the standard version and everything worked as usual. I haven’t investigated more, maybe there’s something new I should have done on the beta to get it to output audio correctly?

                            Thanks.

Showtime Not sure about the color settings. I agree that Dark Mode has to be device specific but personally I like a specific color scheme for all my devices. It would be confusing if the marker colors for example would change from device to device.

I agree with the other settings and they are already device specific.

Wegel I tested with UMC204 and XR18 and both work as expected. I haven't tried AUM though. Will take a look at it.

                              Hi
I can't find this feature in the Beta version (brightness highlighting function). How to access it please?

                                Hi,
Regarding the configuration of the "Clock" area (Clock Mode in User Interface Settings), would it be possible to display the remaining time for the current playlist please? (The duration of the title currently playing + the sum of the durations of the remaining titles below). This can be very interesting live to see if the remaining time is good or if you need to skip songs...
                                THANKS !
