  • Why are some chords not highlighted?

I can't seem to get the notation recognized as chords (and therefore highlighted) by doing this. Can you think of anything I might be missing?

I guess you are not using the correct ` character (not the ' you posted above!!!). Please post the chord line you are trying to write.

    I have version 3.7

      peter ok. I am using the 'English (Australia) keyboard on an Ipad Air2. I can't seem to find the character which you are referring to. Might there be a substitute on the keyboard I'm using?
      The chord line I am trying to write is: A prog (this is my own description which means an A progression)

        Did you see the small video I have in the manual page I linked above? That shows how to type that character on the on screen keyboard.

            Yes it is a bit complicated to type on the software keyboard but this is the character that OnSong uses for this purpose and I don't think anyone would use it in their lyrics by accident. So there is no chance of unintended wrong renderings.

            On a hardware keyboard it is rather easy to type.

              In some instances it doesn't work.
              Can you think of any reason why this might be?... Something in the formatting of my line perhaps?

                Examples please. What instance does not work? Without knowing what you typed in I can not give any answers.

                    Well that's easy to spot. Your line does not start with ` but with lots of blanks.

                      What is a minor 7+? Is that a min7#5?

                      I can’t get mmaj or mmaj7 to work in any capacity. When I wright [Fmmaj], it doesn’t get highlighted. Any suggestions?
