Sharonzaz it’s just frustrating.
the old app needed a tweak.
Let us decide what we want on the screen. Take off the wav display. Add clock etc. User friendly.
Consumer choice.
there is zero competition in this field so it’s time to just do an app from a singers view.
Peter is good to have tried and listen to feedback.
why abandon the old app. So many use it every day. It’s just madness to get rid of something that’s so good.
What a terrible app

The very first sentence of your post is the very problem that we’re talking about in ST3 which is not a problem in ST2. I too hate set setlists and in ST2, even though it is a setlist, you can play any song in that list at any time of your choosing. All without having to go to a different page (Queue) just to play the song.
And if you’ve actually used ST2, you would know this.
I don’t see your point or understand your preference for the more complicated method in ST3.
It is rare... very rare indeed that a more complicated method is actually better than the simpler method.
I agree with most points having purchased and tried to understand the V3.
Just cant see it working for my on live performances where I often have one 3hr playlist and others for background music.
I too would have preferred a “super V2”
with some of the new features but not all and really not convinced by the queue thing.
I used to have (and loved) Showplay in the dark days when I used a pc laptop for gigs.
ST was nearest I found for iPads and does almost all I need.
Agree on the waveform display ... what earthly use other than taking up valuable space ?
Tempo and pitch changes are excellent otoh.
I certainly won’t want to refund as Peter deserves to be paid for his hard work (even if it’s not what many of us want) and I’m sure he’ll be bending over backwards to make ST3 work the way the customer want.
Like others, I would be happy to pay for a V2 with improvements and updates when needed to comply with future iOS changes.
Just my “ point de vue “

SoloGuy yes, if ST2 keeps getting updated and moves forward without the new features I’d be happy to pay for it again if it means Peter needs funds to keep it alive. Call it ST3-lite for all I care and just keep those features identical to ST2, just bring dark mode in () and keep making it work with future iOS versions?
Guys.
When you are in the Queue page and any song is playing and provided you have “Show lyrics on Play”selected in settings ,press the Playlist tab this takes you into your Playlist page.
Use it exactly as ST2.And ignore the que tab.
Been using it this way for weeks while I experiment .
Look familiar.
Bazz02
so you still have to transfer your playlist to the queue before being able to see and use the playlist ?? It’s a new concept I don’t think I like... and don’t understand so far and won’t risk experimenting at next gig.
Of course I could and will test at home but conditions are never anywhere near those of a live gig.
What blocks me is having to do extra manipulations where before I just opened a playlist and played
thats all I need and want, so the problem for some of us isn’t really whether V3 is better, worse or whatever but that we prefer to use V2 with a few extra options if possible AND the guarantee that updates will remain available to ensure compatibility with future iOS.
Paying extra isn’t an issue. This app is my breadwinner and paying for Peter’s time and effort is only right.
Personally I’m convinced the V3 is awesome, it just doesn’t suit my needs.
Knowing how devoted Peter is, I’m sure he’ll come up with something to suit our different needs
Cheers from froggy land !

SoloGuy I have used st2 extensively for years. It’s a good easy programme.
Thays it.
I do not need st3 but if Peter is withdrawing it I either learn the new one which is not currently worth while as the features are not suitable or I design an app.
Options are good but not if they are not options. The que is not friendly and Theo lulu way to use the app so the app is no good to me.
On stage it’s all about simplicity. This now has lost that.
JDSMUSIC already 4 more operations. That’s not practical ever.
Wow, just came back from a gig and the forum is exploding.
Please calm down everybody. I get the issue and I have an idea how to change it so that it can be used with or without the queue. During beta testing, I tried different approaches that didn't work out, but this new idea should be working. I did a quick prove of concept before the gig and playlist view now behaves same as in version 2. So I'm confident I can have a solution for everyone.
Give me a week to implement it and I'm sure everything will be all right.
This is a big release that has a brand new software architecture which allows extensions much better than version 2. So we are just at the beginning of lots of improvements. Don't dump the app if a x.0.0 version does not work as expected.
peter that’s funny....
we will all come over and we can make one together
Hi Peter, I have used StageTraxx since it’s concept and watched it grow into what version 2 is today. Without doubt the BEST on the internet. BUT I have to agree with others wether you like change or not this just does not work for stage use particularly solo performance. Already mentioned points need to be put right. An addition would be why do the songs disappear once they are played. I have on occasions made a false start and had to stop and start again or even stop the song to tell a one liner then carry on but now with the song disappearing that will be impossible. Leave the songs visible in the queue like before. Even scrap the Queue list it’s pointless. Also where the volume is in the mini player there used to be an option to have it selecting songs up and down or the volume. Why has that disappeared. Whilst I very much appreciate your intelligence and inventiveness I believe you have created something far too complicated for general stage use. I hope you will take on board all the comments as they are well meant and can only better what was an already fantastic app. looking forward to the updates.
