Matt07ie Create full back up, and once I press ok, I'm not getting a Window asking me where I want to save my backups
I'm definately not doing some right

You have to wait till the backup is completed then it gives you a window to where you want to place the backup.Choose the newly created ST3 Backup folder and hit save.
Delete all your other backups on your device and empty the rubbish bin to regain hard drive space.

Damir that's the problem it's not giving me the window where to save the backup, but look I'll follow all you told me after tomorrow nights gig and yes firstly I will create a new folder in On My Ipad window next to the ST3 folder and call it ST3 full Backups, and then do another full backup and carefully watch as I go step by step and hopefully I will see this window you speak of asking me where to save the backup, I told you the Backup I did synced to fecking iCloud and I had to buy more space, thanks so much for your patience with me, but I suppose when your helping out me and my learning curve, I presume I'm not the only one here not grasping the whole procedure right away...

Matt07ie I’m sure you’re not the only one , the system is mainly designed for people that already know the system , Apple seems to forget that normal people aren’t mind readers and need things to be very obvious, there are lots of examples of very poor programming so we just have to go along with what we get eventually they will get there, hopefully in my lifetime.

Try to create a database backup. Does the location selector popup when you create that backup?

That's very true indeed, but I will eventually get to understand and master the software and Apple,
St3 is absolutely outstanding software, I honestly don't think there is anything out there to beat it, it's been very good to me so far, only just in relation to doing a full backup, well right now I have created the new folder in the window on my Ipad right next to the St3 folder, in fact they are the only 2 folders in there now cause I moved the fist backup I made into the new folder,
the backup I made the other night in the icloud still, anyway let's get tonight's gig over with, thanks Damir

Matt07ie ireland, I say it, because it is, and I'm so happy to report back to you all procedures you advised, and taking my time I have finally got to grips with the backing up my St3 and I have deleted the previous backup,, it's, all mainlys to you and also Lishy who came in at the start to help and of course not to forget Peter, but now that I have the know how and see how it easy it is I feel a little stupid,
But I'm sure it won't all stop here lol, I see you have mentioned Izotope Rx10, what an unbelievable piece of software
even the ability to create your own backing tracks, using music rebalanced feature, still leaving slight nuances but very workable, now theres another amazing software about to take flight,
I can't think of the name, but I'm told its absolutely magic at what it can do, might just solve the Nuances and bleed, but as for Peters St3 it's like a drug once you start you cant stop..

Hi I wandered if anyone could help. Trying to save a full backup and created a separate st3 backup folder. Everytime I try to choose the folder it says no space left on my device even though I’ve got nearly 100gb. No idea how to solve this. The other problem is and I’m sure it’s a bug but while performing I couldn’t scroll down to the right part of the song. Just kept snapping back to the start which was a bit frustrating. Any help would be really useful as an an app it’s fantastic

Regarding the backup: The estimated backup size seems to be larger than the 100gb you have available. Or else you would not see this problem. If you have such a large library and not enough space for a full backup, you can create a database only backup and take care of backing up all files within the Stage Traxx 3 folder manually.

Thank you Peter for your reply. Going to try that manual override and see if that helps although it was strange how it happened sometimes and not all the time. Would you recommend doing a full reinstall just to make sure everything’s okay.

Damir hi Damir ,I'm back to creating another full back up and I'm at the iPad for the last 12 hours with no success , I am now going through your previous messages to me , and in reply to this one , I did all you said about creating a folder and now when I go into this everything is greyed out ???
and even though I did do a full backup and watched it's progress indicator I still can't understand why I'm seeing greyed out , and also I just noticed within ST3 settings I see under restore backup in small print there are no recent backups to restore, I know it's been a while but I'm totally baffled here , in advance thanks for any advice and help

Don't save a backup directly to an iCloud Drive folder. Always store it locally on your iPad first and then move it to the iCloud folder in Files app.
