Hi Peter sorry to be bombarding you with stuff but i am trying to get as much improvement done in the new release as possible, i think i mentioned this before but here it goes again.

The last 30sec flashing idea i suggested in the begining of development is great but it is not a good thing when using loops , i believe if you use loops this is no longer required as it clashes with next loop selection flashing, if loops are used then you dont require this warning as you have alternative options to not end the song so the flashing is an actual nuicance then a help as you might have a loop thats flashing as its next then you have the end of song warning flashing which is not correct as you are not ending you are actually jumping to another part of a song.
So my suggestion is if you can disable this end of song flashing on all songs that use loops.

Regarding stop handling:
This is too late for such a big change and it would affect all users. No chance for this in 3.6.

Zoom:
I don't agree with you. Zoom buttons work just as I want them to work. They zoom in around the playhead (playhead keeps its position on the screen). That makes sense. When you want to zoom on certain area, position the playhead there. It absolutely makes no sense to always center on the middle of the screen as you would always end up in the middle of the song if just press the zoom button.

Flashing:
Again, I don't agree that the song end flashing collides with the regions. I will wait for more feedback from other users after 3.6 is released before I decide whether to change that.

Coloring:
Black Text (hate it):

White text (utterly unusable):

The last one is the only option I could live with besides the current way it is rendered. Down side on the phone is that it overlaps the waveform a bit too much for my taste. But it looks fine on iPads and in portrait mode:

I think I will go with the last version.

No you don’t understand I don’t want any changes to stop function, all I am suggesting is when you stop in a song a selection of the same song in the song list behaves just like a refresh selection of that song meaning it will reselect the now playing song and cue it up from the beginning, just like selecting a new song.
This ability just gives you a quick way of restarting the now chosen song from beginning, no change is required just a command to select the same song from start.

Sorry Peter i dont think you understand my poorely described request, yes you are correct with your basic behaviour, but zoom buttons and behaviour as it is is not polished, it is fighting the operator not aiding him when used in different ways , i will explain to what things are not working after things settle down, its useable but not great you have to consider when in play or when in stop modes, when in loop,no loop, when partially zoomed when to follow or not to follow playhead.
There are a lot of considerations.
At the moment the follow playhead has a delay when it hits the right side of screen than jumps to the left side of screen , i would rather the playhead remains central to screen and the waveform moves through it, as this is a smoother movement without jerks and sudden jumps.
I also believe a change over button to lock on to playhead in to the center makes sense, because when you move around and zoom in and out you dont want the playhead dictating to you but then a quick lock on to playhead command would make it easy to follow the playhead, which should be central to screen so you can see whats comming up and you can see whats passed, at the moment you have a kangaroo jumping around scenario.

I will point out examples later but for now it will do.

florence perhaps don’t reduce the waveform size just increase this area to accommodate the writing, as the waveform area in landscape mode is already undersized to what it should be.

I know that it is the selection logic you are talking about. But that area is a can of worms I am not opening up at this late testing stage. Selection logic is one of the most complex code in the app and I'm definitely not touching it for this release.

The waveform height in landscape mode is already at a point where I don't want to reduce it any further. And on iPads and in landscape there is only slight overlapping with some peaks in the waveform so no problem at all.

peter i agree these fine tune things can always be looked at after settlement of looping and other more important things.

Here is another suggestion for now or later tweak depending on its difficulty, why waste so much space on a suck egg label, why not incoroporate it in to a an area where it is still there but not hogging precious user realestate.

jzavaletta yes i am hanging out to see it released as well but Rome was built in a day i rather use an old version on stage till the new is as best as we can get it, so we just have to be patient and let Peter do his thing at his pace, no point of upgradng then finding outs it a downgrade like most software designers out there.
Ive waited over 10 years for something like ST3 i can wait a few more weeks.

This is the release candidate and final beta update. No more changes before the release except if there are some critical bugs that need to be addressed. I will submit the final release to Apple Thursday or Friday.

Audio region editor will ignore default loop settings and only loop current selected region

Damn, I guess I forgot to test songs without audio regions at the end. Will fix and release another version later today.

These assignable buttons don't have a state because they can be switched to lots of different functions. I can't update them depending on some state in the app.

That's intentional. You can't change your mind and jump to another region when the transition to the next song already has started. Same in the fade in. As long as a transition is running, you can't change regions.

Love the new lableing of loop Player and Editor it feels finished and works well on the eyes and the brain.

The end of song loop seems to work now it loops as well as all the other loops BUT! when i deleted this loop i created quickly as a test then i played that same end region to the end of song the software crashed , it shut down, so there is a major issue there. Bugger!

I am absolutely loving the playback loop logic it is a work of art thanks Peter i dont know how you did it being so complicated yet giving us such freedom to create on the go , either using finger or foot, the new lables in the editor are 200% better and very pleasing to use, now at a quick glace you see everything thats important and the white writing on a solid colour background is perfect, well done.
I am feeling very confident i could use the looping feature on stage now once it is perfectly stable, so well done and good luck with the final fixes.
