The song titles and artist information must match. So if a client has a song with the same title and artist, it will show the local lyrics. If not, it will show lyrics from the server.
Problem with show local lyrics
Does the joined iPad require the identical MP3 onboard with the altered lyrics in order to use them?
No, the audio file does not matter. It just looks for the same title and artist info. So even lyrics only songs would work.
I connect by WiFi iPad mini and iphone, iPad is host on settings and iphone is join to host. On both devices I turn on show local lyrics because I won’t to have different lyrics on host iPad and joined iphone. But looks Like host IPad mini 5th just send IPad song lyrics to iPhone 6s plus both with newest OS 15.4 Sent lyrics to joined iPhone. On both iPad and Iphone show local lyrics was on. What I’m doing wrong.
How can I get different lyrics on host iPad and join iPhone. I’m using multitrack song with time for lyrics lines.
When I connect iPad and Iphone, Iphone momentarily shows lyrics from iPad which is host doesn’t matter iPhone is with show local lyrics on. Only Whats I can do is stop The host alter host and join Connecticut and change with Down arrow lyrics on host then I bave different lyrics on host and joined iPhone. What is wrong I jave same name and autor Of song on host and join iPhone
You only need to turn on the Option "Show Local Lyrics" on the client. It does not change anything on the host.
The host always sends lyrics to all clients. Each clients decides whether to show the host lyrics or the local lyrics.
So if you client shows host lyrics, it does not find the song locally. Make sure they have the same title and artist.
Boris is it possible, if you have downloaded an exact same backup to your other devices which means if now you change the settings to show local lyrics you will get the same lyrics, so if you have created new file with same name and artist now you have two identical files on your slaves and the show local lyrics is defaulting to the original file that was loaded from your master device,
I thought you had to change lyrics on the downloaded version on the slave otherwise how is the software to know which version to use?
Surely you have to only have one version on the slave, so if you have created one version from scratch and you have downloaded one from backup it must mean you have two identical versions , so is this causing your issue?
Peter hopefully knows.
Thanks I soved problem was The name Of The song but there is problem when YOU writting The name od song when you press space cursor do not follow by the movement that press so the name looks same but because of that is not can you solved that bug.
Also I agree with Damir on joined iphone is so ease brake connection can you put some lock on joined screen phone.

The behavior of the text input boxes is predicated by iOS/macOS. I can't change that. Only thing I could do is automatically trim whitespace at beginning or end of title and artist when you edit it.
That will be fine if you can do it. I have one complex question for you. Can you make joined phone to play multitrack song in sync with host iPad or at least stereo 1 channel. I think if I have older model of iPhone iPad so I can use headphone output from each iPhone or iPad to sent sound in mixer then in monitors so every member of Three members small caffe band can get mix in ear monitor which want. If you can do than StageTraxx3 will become I am sure professional standard for small bands.
Boris you can do that now using one device to get your fold back in to in ears , all other devices can have visual connection , I am very sure you would have sync problems running instantaneous audio from multiple devices, and a shit load of extra work for something that can be done already from one device, it makes no sense to run audio from multiple devices.
Modern pop songs has lot effects pads synths will bee fantastic to have 6 Chanel’s in mix on 1 stereo output on headphones output of joined iPhone now looks that joined phone did not use all power can I do that by MIDI ?
Boris I think I use some kind of command with + and - sing if lyrics starts to early or to late and are not in good sync with song in one iPhone setting. If you have three members little band you can not do individually monitor setting for each member if you have only one stereo output you have possibility od 2 stereo output but also you can not do individual monitor mix for 2 or 3 memb. band.
Can that correction be implemented in host and join iPad iPhone combination n joined phone has little late because of wi if or because of processing.I am not software guy and I do not know how much is complicated to make software changes for that possibility but if you can do that StageTraxx3 will be game changer in small caffe band environment.
Boris keep in mind ST3 is not an elaborate mixer it actually gives you 6 stereo tracks that can be tweaked and 2 stereo outs, surely this is enough one full stereo as main mix to all members and one separate click track to dummer, now this goes to your mixer , now this is where you should be creating your individual in ear mix of microphones and instruments and the stereo backing tracks for every performer, and if the drummer needs a special click track you have the other stereo out to supply a special need client, you have to remember ST3 is just a backing device just stereo output is great not to mention you can seperate in to 6 sections of backing in stereo Drums , guitars, Bass, keyboards , solos, click
Normally people don’t need drums as it’s live , or guitars as they are live so I can’t see a great need for other devices being involved when one device does so much.
Damir is absolutely right, synchronized playback on different devices via Wifi is simply not possible. In fact it is already quite difficult to achieve on a single device . With midi clock over wire it could work but ST3 can only act as a midi clock master and not as a slave. And implementing slave functionality is out of scope for ST3.
Regarding the multitrack output limit: I plan on expanding the limit to 4 stereo outputs. So in theory you could then have 8 mono tracks available to mix (and send to inears/monitors) on your mixer. I hope I will be able to add that in version 3.6.
Hi Peter,
Further to your suggestion regarding a request feature that I made,,
I followed the following process:
- backed up from master to slave.
- removed chords from the slave
- set them up correctly as host and slave
I then discovered that the „Show Local Lyrics“ option only works if it is a multitrack song.
I can’t imagine that that is intended?
I have checked for duplicate song names and matching song names. All check out OK.
5 multitrack songs work fine, 8 single track songs show remote lyrics (including chords)
Any ideas?
Show local lyrics works for every song type. I always test with different song types. Must be a typo in your song or artist names. Maybe a whitespace at the beginning or end?
