Finally I have submitted the first beta version of release 3.0.0 of Stage Traxx to Apple.
Stage Traxx 3 is a complete rewrite of Stage Traxx. Please test all features of the app.
You will need iOS 11 to run this version of Stage Traxx.
These are the biggest new features in version 3:
- Universal app that runs on iPad and iPhone
- Queue based playback (see below)
- iTunes library songs are now copied into the app to get rid of synchronisation issues
- Access to a multitude of cloud storage services through the Files app
- Added placeholder songs which are basically only lyrics without an attached song Files
- Added change tempo functionality
- Lyrics can now also be imported from PDF files
- Added Dark Mode
- Customize color settings
Stage Traxx 3 depends heavily on swipe gestures. Wherever you are, swipe anything to the right to add it to the current queue. And swipe to the left to delete it. If you swipe to the right while in the queue view, that song will be moved to the top of the queue.
Rearranging songs in the queue and playlist is done by dragging the song to the new position.
If you add songs via iTunes filesharing, you will need to refresh the songlist to make Stage Traxx aware of the new songs. Do this by swiping the songlist down until you see the refresh indicator on top.
Features missing in the current beta:
- Restore / Backup / Migrate Data from version 2
- Network sessions
These features will be added in later beta versions.
If you supply feedback to this version please do always include the iPad/iPhone model you used and your iOS version.
