At last (and now newest release) I have implemented the embedded midi commands in the lyrics. I had one song that, no matter how many times I checked the midi-strings and re-entered into iTunes and resync'ed, this song just did not send the right commands.

After wrestling with this one for a month. I just remembered that you could edit the lyrics in the StageTrax interface. When I did that for this song I saw that there were NO midi strings in the lyrics? I hit the "reset lyrics" and they magically appeared. While I would have to unload my rack to test this I feel pretty confident that this has finally solved the problem. I remember reading that if you EVER edit lyrics in StageTrax that they will override anything synced from iTunes. I must have done that at some point in the past.

Is there a way I can do a global reset without complete removal of StageTrax and then re-Install?
