Confusing file system

Hi Peter, i have mentioned this before, but now i am experiancing two issues.
I cant find my songs in ST3 Folder search.
It looks as though the search engine is not functioning properly in ST3 folder, i tested download folder search and it seems to function ok, so the fault in search is with ST3 folder only.

I can create two Songs that share one file and i cant remove one song without deleting the shared file for the other song i want to keep.
Firstly i dont know how i ended up with the 2 songs sharing one file, that should not be possible, secondly there is great cofusion between original song name in ST3 folder and the actual database song names, it seems as though i am fighting the system instead of smoothly using it.Should i be able to share one song file with multiple songs created in database?
If so how do i delete one song version but still keep the song file itself that is used by other versions.
We should not be able to create two exact same songs with name, artist, file beeing the same, i managed to do it and now dont know how to fix it without saving the file elswhere deleting all the versions and starting from scratch.
It makes no sense to why the database and the ST3 song folder files are not kept in sync automatically and naming follows standard rules, options like overwrite original, create new version, this then is done either in ST3 software or in ST3 folder and is automatically updated in the database as well as in the ST3 folder.
This then would stop all this unnecessary confusion and time wasting manipulating of renaming and updating of data of the song files, if you have thousands of files its a big headache.
Keeping simple operation is extremely important.
Now the search issue i have no idea to why Grkinja search does not find any songs at all.

Here is a visual example of my pain.
Starting with an overall picture of the five files and a look at every files SONG DATA info, in order in song list.

A bit more about song 3 and 4 , they are exactly the same using the same song file song 3 has a begining trim in place to get rid of the four beat hi hat count in making it an instant start song,
Song 4 has no trimming at all and appears to be using the same song file as song 3, the only difference is the song length display shows it is slightly shorter due to the begining trim, otherwise they are identical, so if i delete one the other will have no sound either, how can this happen? Why was i allowed to do this? I should be able to duplicate a song but the duplicates name should allways be different ie GRKINJA duplicated should be GRKINJA 1 and so on so i never end up with absolute duplicates, as this creates audio song dissapearences, which should never be the case.

I would be happy with this naming system if you have multiple versions of same song.

And if you rename Grkinja to Grkinja 1 it should ask you to overwrite or create new version and then it should automatically call it Grkinja 4 if you choose a new version as 1, 2 & 3 are already used.
This change should update the database and ST3 folder automatically, as far as the user is concearned there is only one file system , we've got music to get on with not wasting time on a confusing file system.

Stage Traxx was not designed to share files in multiple songs. Each stereo file has to point exactly to a single song. If you somehow managed to point multiple songs to the same file, I would consider that a bug. How did you do that exactly?

Deleting a song will always delete the audio file as Stage Traxx does not expect another song to point to that file.

About song names: I have already explained that Stage Traxx uses the title tag as the song name. The title tag has no connection to the filename. If you like you can name your files just 1.mp or something like that. Stage Traxx does not care. And this is the way every music player app works.

You are correct and after very close examination these files appear to be identical but i remember now what i did, i wanted the same file without the 1 bar count in of hihats so i duplicated the file renamed it the same except i accidentally used capitals on begining of each word so instead of overwriting the old version i created a new one without realizing.
Now when i loaded the new version it had the same name but the capital letter at front of Midi With Drums, before it was Midi with drums.
That explains the confusion, this point out my exact complaint about this system, we have to carefully maintain the ST3 songs names and then we have to also maintain the actual Software Song and Artist. This technically appears to be logical but is a great pain in the butt from the users point of view.
I would rather do a job once knowing exactly what my software says on the surface is what my ST3 folder is doing, so if i want to later manipulate my songs all naming is the same i can find the song i want easily as it is not hidden under another name , this process appears correct to you but is unnecessaraly very confusing to the end user. There is absolutely no advantage having a two step system, it should be a single step, load a song rename it and its there in the database and the folder, no confusion, if i need a song i can just use its on stage name to find it and edit it and put it back, simple, why do we need to manually look after two areas?
What made it even harder the ST3 folder search doess not seem to be working properly so i had to manually scroll 10,000 songs to find Grkinja song which i now have 5 versions after careful counting.
All i need is 3 versions the original Grkina- Thompson, my backing track Grkinja - Midi With Drums, and my second same version Grkinja - Midi No Drums.Simple.
Is there a way to change the naming of title and artist of the files within ST3 ? So we dont have to export change then import.
At least this would give us a simple ability to keep things tidy?

Yes you can change title and artist. Open song details and tap on title or artist to edit it.

peter yes i know that just changes the database, but it doasnt update the ST3 folder song file as well to keep everything in sync.
If i change a song title to suit my requirements in database and want to find this song in the ST3 folder to edit it and update it you cant use its well known name you have to remember to find out what the actual original file name was, this is very innoficient and unnecessary, if i decide to rename my song i expect both the database and its ST3 folder name to be updated, why would i not want this what advantage do i get from it not being updated immediately in both areas, there is only a disadvantage , as it creates more confusion and work, i am pointing this out to see if somehow we can create a much simpler system so we dont get confusion and time wasting, i would also introduce a simple way to jump to the actual song file folder so you can copy and paste it to a daw for editing.This i would introduce as an option in the right swipe, where you get the bin to delete the song, my other option would be to immediately get to the actual file in ST3 folder so you can load it in to a daw for editing and then save it back to the ST3 folder , this is always needed so why not make it easy.
Renaming a song should either update this song in the database and ST3 Folder or it should give you an option to create a new version .
This then creates a simple one system that works for the user, at the moment we have two systems the ST3 folder, and then the database , this is not really necessary.
The database should represent what the ST3 folder contains to the letter, if you add more files to the ST3 folder and dont load them to the database then these files are on their own in the ST3 folder untill they are used by the database, as soon as they are used the name and artis then sync up in both , untill you decide to delete this file.
If you delete a file in the ST3 folder that immediately deletes that song in the database if it existed there .
This creates a simple one system that just works for us without naming confusion or double handling, its direct to the point a big time saver and simple to understand.
