Backup potection?

I have been taking two iPads with identical versions of Stage Traxx and identical song lists to every gig in case ipad 1 dies. I haven't needed ipad 2 yet but I am sure the day will come. I find the process of keeping them both up to date somewhat time consuming. Do you think your sharing feature in the new version will in any way help me to cut down on the time it takes to do this?

No, you will always need a backup if you want to be safe. I am aware that keeping a backup device up to date involves creating, transferring and restoring a backup file and also having to move the songs but I am afraid there will be no better option because Stage Traxx can not write to the iTunes library so that it will not be possible to restore songs together with the Stage Traxx database in one step.

Thanks. So the main advantage of the ability to have a second ipad mirroring what is going on on the main ipad is to allow other musicians to play along. The second ipad doesn't have anything to do with the music, just the lyrics and chords, if they have been added. Correct?

Yes, that feature is targeted for bands with multiple members wanting to see the same lyrics. Band members don't need to setup anything on their iPad. Just start Stage Traxx. Lyrics will automatically be transferred from the band leaders iPad.

peter great stuff Peter I will be using this feature this weekend and hope it doesn't let me down it certainly works well at home and I love the next song preview feature on the bottom , I have found if you get out of stage traxx to change settings and then open it again the sync has to be reset it would be great if sync remained in background at all times like the playing audio and only disappears if you exit the program, this way if you are running another program like XAir for the digital mixer control the Stage traxx sync to another iPad is not lost.

Hi Damir, I am afraid Apple says "Multipeer Connectivity does not function in the background". This basically means that I will not be able to add this feature.
