Frozen app

Hi. I’ve just downloaded thIs app to trial before I buy the full version, and immediately got a problem. Imported a track from my iTunes library. Played back fine. Then imported pdf(by the way can you include annotations?). Would not playback. In fact the app froze.
Tried closing....shutting iPad down...deleting app and reinstalling. Still frozen.
It’s an iPad Air 2.....software version 14.4.2
I’m really looking forward to using this live as I want it to control my harmoniser via MIDI

I've had the same problem after using app for some time now but realised i hadn't updated to iPad OS 15.3, done that and now works well. I hope this helps.

PDF annotations are displayed in Stage Traxx.

So after restarting the iPad you can not start Stage Traxx or does it freeze as soon as you press play? If this happens every time, could you please send me the pdf that is causing this issue? Send it to support@stagetraxx.com.

peter thank you for your reply Peter.
The last time I installed the app I only managed to import a track(from iTunes, only lately I have learned this is not the best way, however my large repitoire is stored there) pressing play immediately froze the app.

So any song imported from iTunes freezes the app? But the first time it did play, right?

Are you using an audio interface or a bluetooth connection?

I don‘t have an iOS 14 device to test but I just tried with an iPad Air 1 on iOS12 and it works just fine importing and playing. So maybe send me the imported audio file and the pdf.

peter Yes Peter....the 1st time I imported the file it played. Then I imported the pdf.
I think it played after that...can’t remember now.
I’ve just imported 5 audio files at random, as soon as I select one, the app freezes.
I shut app down,,,relaunch. I can navigate around as long as I don’t select a track or press play.
By the way , the tracks are showing up as mp4a.
I’m not using blue tooth or any outboard gear.

It seems loading the audio file into the player causes this issue.

Please send me one of the files from the Stage Traxx 3 folder on your iPad.

Sorry....I’m not sure how to do that. I’ll have to find stage Traxx 3 folder 1st.
Where is that located?

Open the Files app. Select On My iPad and then Stage Traxx 3. Hold one of the files for a context menu and share that via mail.

peter Suggestion, it would be great if we had direct access to ST3 FILE FOLDER in settings, perhaps in the create backup area so when you create something you can get to it quickly.

Stikmaster I received the files, thanks. There is indeed something wrong with these files. I can't even import them as local files. I will investigate further.

You can search in Spotlight for it. Just search for files.

Damir That's a good idea. I think I can open the Files app (and Finder on macOS) with the correct folder from within Stage Traxx.

I just made room to install 15…..all working good. Although it’s the trial version.
I’m excited with the possibility using some sort of midi interface from the iPad, I can control my fx pedals. Especially my harmoniser.

I was doing until i did your last app update then as I went to select songs within the app, the app just froze, i was panicking a bit as I use it all the time for work but updated to OS 15.3 and now working well 😀

So, I have just received a crashlog regarding the new version from a third user and I think that crash could also manifest in a freeze. So version 3.5.0 definitely has a bug that could cause either a crash or a freeze. I will fix it asap and release version 3.5.1 tomorrow or the day after.
