Hi Peter, heading should have been TITLE/FILE i dont know how to change it once created, anyway,
just wondering why we cant have one name area that just updates both files automatically, the ST3 database and ST3 SONG folder, because i like to keep all my songs in the folder the same name as in the ST database to avoid confusion, i make it a practice to go to ST3 song folder and change the actual files name to be the same as shown from the database, now this sounds anal but it reduces confusion later when you have lots of files with slightly different names yet they are the same file.
Why cant we just have one file/song spot that updates both saving a lot of time and confusion?
keeping everything neat and logical.

Song title and filename are different things. You can have many songs with the same title as long as they are in different files. Every music application distinguishes between those two and I am sticking to that principle.

peter yes i understand your view, but i am looking at it from the users perspective only that dont care how its done as long as its simple to understand to use and operate.
I dont know how it might be done or if possible at all, what the user wants is both the song title and file system to keep itself automatically synced up so we dont end up with a confusing mess, its great how we can change the song title and artist so why cant we have this update our SONG files at the same time not just to keep things tidy but save us time so we dont have to do this manually if we like to be totaly neatly organized.I feel great using ST3 FOLDER having all my stuff where i know i can find it, but i also like to keep the files neatly labeled so i dont end up with a song that is called Love Me Tender 2.mp3 in SONG FILES and Love Me Tender IN SONG TITLE, i know the two are technically different but to the user they are the same and would apreciate they stay in sync when renaming them in Song data as its a great easy spot to do this there and once only, instead of having to manually go to the actual SONG FILE folder and renaming it there just to keep things consistant.
I understand apple have their idea of how things run but i find their way of thinking is more and more technically orianted and not end user friendly thats probably because they have too much input, we are very lucky to have you Peter beeing a musician and a computer programer.
Im really looking forward to Looping, if this works well ST3 will be the first program on the planet that will be able to give backing track musicians absolute freedom something i wanted years ago when half decent audio DAWs were invented.
