Does anyone know a way of running DMX lighting to run in sync with backing tracks I'm playing back using ST3? I want to be able to run everything from my Ipad. any advise is much appreciated

If your DMX software can be controlled via DMX you can get this working. If it does not respond to MIDI messages, I don't see a way to do this.

peter how does the ipad send the MIDI to your DMX fixtures? also can you recommend any DMX software that will run from the ipad and sync with the MIDI sent from Stage Traxx

You can use a usb midi interface with the camera connection kit or a bluetooth midi interface.

I am not familiar with any dmx iPad app.

Hi, how does Vibrio behave with your Stage Traxx?
I'm trying to send commands like: [midi@00:06.50: N2.127@1] and on Vibrio the scene receives Key: 1 Play/Stop .

My problem is that as soon as I open the Show on Vibrio and start ST3, everything goes well, at least until the last command sent, but then if I try to restart the song on ST3, Vibrio no longer responds. I have Vibrio set with Scene Layering disabled.

Do you have any suggestions? I would be infinitely grateful.

I just set this up last week and had a successful show on the weekend. I am using iPad Pro, running ST3 and Luminair. Connected to a mini wifi router that is hardwired via ethernet to a Pknight Art-net Node 1 (single universe). I connect my LaunchKey 61 using the camera connector as the midi device and select it in the Luminair app as the midi trigger Works like a charm.

In the lyrics editor play back the backing track and use the midi learn function to write the midi commands into the song during playback.
