  • For those using AUTOPLAY ALL- TIP

I have had issues with AUTOPLAY ALL and AUTOPLAY SINGLE button Logic in PLAYLIST mode and after a bit of experimenting have found a way to operate that works on stage much better so i will share it with you as it might benefit some of you who use it similarly.

When you create a playlist that you want to autoplay all but you want flexibility using remote control to temporarily disable this function, dont use AUTOPLAY ALL function button, program your playlist songs individually in STOP mode using the single AUTPLAY button, this does take longer if you have a long playlist and thats the disadvantage but on stage you will be able to use the Autoplay single button to temporarily not autopay the now playing song this will stop autoplay just once for you automatically but will not change any permanent settings of autoplay on the song, then it just requires a remote start again and you are back in autoplay all mode as normal, this gives you the freedom to stop in the middle of your autoplay all playlist yet not contaminate your original settings.
If you try to do that using AUTOPLAY ALL function with AUTOPLAY Single button you cant achieve this flexability as the ALL button takes priority.
I am only pointing this out for those that use remote pedals in their performances and want minimal contact with the ipad and expect the software to do the work for them efficiently, this tip does not apply for all other users, and some of you have probably worked this out already.
Example
You are playing background music in a break and the playlist is autoplaying all songs you require to stop at the end of the the now playing song for speeches but straight after the speeches you require a start again, you have remote control over the ipad so all you need to do is disable Autoplay single button which will stop playback when song ends it will auto select the next song and wait for your remote start, this means you have freedom to leave your ipad after one button push have your break or perhaps you are the MC knowing you just need to hit the START button to continue background music without having to come back to your device as long as you are in bluetooth range you can start replay of background music from the bar if thats where you are.
The way the system is now if you were to be using the autoplay all function you can not afford to leave your ipad as it will not be possible to do anything like that unless you can also program the autoplay all function on to your remote which has more important functions on it already.
Cheers Damir

I guess your remote has already play/stop mapped. Why not just stop background music (with a nice fade out). Wait for the speeches and then resume (with a nice fade in). No need to wait for the song to stop.

peter Yes the fade out option is a nice feature which would be very useful for some users unfortunately i cant use it as i mainly want immediate starts and immediate pauses, because these are GLOBAL settings i cant really use them with the way i perform.
If you use fade out then to achieve the same result that i want i would have to use the STOP option to jump to next song, yes this will work nicely but unfortunately i do use STOP and the PAUSE option because i can create an unlimited pause in my performances on the run , so whith this feature turned on what happens when i fade out it fades out and pauses so when starting again i would get abrupt LOUD START that is not synced, so thats why i suggest my method, its one button push on Autoplay button and just walk away from your ipad knowing when the song ends it will not continue play i have time to walk to the podium or to the bride and groom table and when im done MCing i just hit start and the music starts with a fresh song from begining, simple and easy but only because i used playlist with single autoplay ticked on all songs and because you gave us two modes of Autoplay logic in STOP, PLAY modes this definitely has been a great advancement giving us more user flexability.
If i used AUTOPLAY ALL i still would not be able to achieve this simply unless i had this togle function switch programed on my remote, which i dont, because i have more important functions on my remotes.

I have some songs that run 15 minutes they are traditional KOLO dances similar to ZORBA, when u start these popular songs everybody gets up and dances ln a circle and they do this for long periods , BUT if you start this dance and nobody gets up or they all walk off because they had enough youre in the POO so a xfade to another song becomes very usefull.
A simple looping feature would be so nice so we can END songs nicely or extend them not by making them long but just being able to repeat different sections, this would give us the same capability of a live band.
    Perhaps one day.
