I regret having to tell you that I am currently not able to work on new features for coming versions of Stage Traxx.
Stage Traxx has been a constant part of my life for the last 5 years. I have steadily improved the app and released so far around 60 updates since version 1.0. Although sales numbers are stable and there is a steady stream of new users, the revenue is far too low to even consider making this app my main source of income. So I have to somehow find the time to develop and support the app in my spare time which I find is getting more and more difficult as user numbers (and therefore support requests) increase and the difficulty of adding new features grows. Responsibilty and duties in my main job have been growing too and so I find it more and more difficult to spend the time and energy on developing Stage Traxx further.
After the last feature version 2.10 I have started working on a complete rewrite but now, a couple of months into the rewrite, I have to realize that the goal is too far away for me to reach as a sidekick project.
So I had to make a decision about the future of Stage Traxx. I believe that the current version of Stage Traxx has a nice feature set and works quite well for most users. Of course there are always things that might be improved or would enhance the app, but it is running mostly fine the way it is right now. It is important to keep this version running and ensure that it works well with new iOS versions and iPads.
So I will guarantee bug fixing updates until the end of 2018. This means that I make sure that the app will be fully compatibly with iOS 12. At the moment I can not make guarantees after 2018. Maybe I will be able to spend more time working on Stage Traxx in the coming year, but it is also possible that I will have to abandon this project completely. Maybe I can find someone who could take over or maybe I will release the source code as open source. I can't tell at the moment what will happen in 2019.
Thanks for your understanding and your support!
