Future of Stage Traxx
Thanks guys for these comments. Well I did indeed make some progress in the past months with version 3. I wrote a new audio engine which seems to work well and I came up with a new user interface that will work on both iPads and iPhones and will allow to choose wheter one prefers working in setlist view or in lyrics view. But currently progress is slow again.
But currently, I don't think I can abandon this project. So if you guys are willing to wait a bit for the next big release, I guess I will continue with as much time as I can put into Stage Traxx.
Hi Peter
I’ve been with you from day one and you have even taken up some my suggestions so I feel almost part of your family. I’ve watched this app grow to be a professionals dream. You can’t make it much better if at all. Like many, many others we hope that Apple don’t screw it up. Otherwise it’s flawless at the moment. May I make a suggestion? Why don’t you advertise in The Stage and Guitarist. The former is pro artists looking for work and auditions and that gets good circulation all over the place. Guitarist magazine has a big circulation too. Not as many hits on YouTube as I would have thought either. Maybe a new web crawler. I very much appreciate that this is all precious time for you but you have worked so hard and given so many people pleasure, confidence and the ability to earn money. I must have passed on the sale of the app to possibly 50 acts who were still using mini discs and now would be lost without it. I made a rod for my own back in some cases as they are not all computer literate and I set up their tracks and keep them updated. They are mainly friends so I don’t mind. I honestly believe wether it be version 2.1 or a new version 3 some advertising would be advantageous. Someone suggested subscription, why not, they are earning through your competence. Let’s be fair if these stupid crappy anti virus programs can get subscribers then I’m sure you can. Needless to say we are all with you and respect your financial ties and responsibilities. Take a step back, a holiday, whatever, something will crop up. There is nothing to touch you out there so shout about it. Kindest regards Martin (UK).
Muzomart,
You said it all.I think it’s time all who use Stagetraxx take some responsibility
to promote in anyway possible the app.
We all paid for the app I know, but the value night after night of faultless performance is priceless.
peter Yuhuuu!!! We really appreciate much you will carry on with the proyect. Have all our support!!! Just take your time but consider your work is outstanding and a must. Un saludo y mil gracias!!!
Bazz02 Completely agree with that Bazz02.

Hi everyone,
i only want to thank Peter for his outstanding work in this App. I am a professional Trumpet player in a German Orchestra and since 4 Weeks a friend pushed me in the position of a singer in his Band. He introduced me in stagetraxx and from this day on i lost my fears in getting the right sheet to the right song and text.
With this program i am able to play, sing and fuel up the mood of the crowd.
Thank you for your App. It is the
solution for all my problems on stage! I will recommend it to all my friends, in the hope that it spreads out in Germany and makes you so f*** rich, that you can live on that Program
Cheers from Berlin!
Thanks guys for your comments. Rest assured, I am now confident, that I can pull version 3 off
Hi Peter
I have been working as a pro musician on a cruise ship for the last couple of years, and during that time have been using forScore. I think I downloaded the lite version of your app about a year ago, but, with ongoing contracts and the need for stability had decided against changing over to Stage Traxx until I had a reliable and speedy WiFi connection.
So a couple of days ago I took the plunge and created a set list and transferred everything I needed from forScore. On Saturday I used your app for my gig and it performed flawlessly, I am a convert!
As a pro musician, I will quite happily spend £80 on a microphone, and to be honest I can pick from a wide range of mic's that all do pretty much the same thing. You're app is special, it understands my needs almost perfectly and having used it, I would think nothing of paying the same for it as say a microphone...
I suggest you take a pole of your users on the forum here and see how many agree... And while I realise the problems you have developing and supporting the app are in the main time related, In my experience confirmation by musicians and maybe pro musician subscription, at a higher level, provides much needed feedback that what you have done here is extremely valuable to the people that use it daily.
P.S. in a previous life (some years ago now) I was a software developer and would be happy to give up time needed in anyway I can help, if it helps you keep this software alive.
Many thanks
Paul
Hello Peter! I have just purchased Stage Traxx, and I must tell you, that I have been an entertainer for many years, and I have been using a small computer with Linux, that I have build as I would like it, and worked well for me. I am alone, for the most time, and I must sometime leave the stage, and sing among the audience, and many other different environments. The best thing in my system is the search, I can search for a part of a sentence and other possibilities. After ten years! and no crash, hanging or other I decided to move to Ipad, but I will miss the ogg format ... The last week I have been searching on the net and suddenly, I found a player, which has the same requirement, facilities and demands, as I am used to. Then I found yours! and I am really glad, that I found your well thoughtful app. Keep up the good work! Now I am going to learn your product and carefully switch over to Ipad. Have a nice weekend!
