Hi Peter
Happy new year
Would it be possible to get a 8 band song equalizer, simular to the master equalizer ?
The 8 frequencies makes it much easier to get the right sound

A GEQ is fine for ringing out a room but not the right EQ for changing source material. A 4 band parametric EQ is better suited.
Version 3.4 will most likely focus on the audio engine so I might be able to add it there.
I do not agree, because I feel, that each backing track has it's own sound profile, that need to be optimised. Some are too "dark" and some are too "bright" and 3 frequencies are not enought to fix that
But then again, I am just a user and it is still fantastic app
Take a look at current digital consoles. Most of them have 4 parametric bands per channel. If you can't fix any problem with 4 parametric bands you really have a big problem with your input signal.
I have a 8 band master EQ (BEO) and a 3 band song EQ (BEO) in your app.
In my mixer I have high-mid-low EQ (BEO) for each channel and a 5 band master EQ (also BEO).
They all serve serve a different purpose, so I would still prefer more frequencies in my song EQ in Stagetraxx to inshure the best posible sound from my iPad.
The high-mid-low EQ in the mixer is for shaping input from microphones/instruments and the 5 band master EQ is for optimising the output from the PA system
My mixer (X32) has a 31 band GEQ and 6 band PEQ in the output busses and I started of with the GEQ but I find myself more and more working only with the 6 band PEQ because it is way more versatile. With a single band I can do anything from surgical cuts (steeper than a single band of the GEQ) to broad boosts that would need multiple bands of the GEQ.
If your songs really need more than 4 PEQ bands to fix, you might want to take another shot at mixing or mastering the song.
To be clear, the master GEQ will stay in Stage Traxx. But the 3 fixed band eq might be replaced with a 4 band full parametric eq. Another reason to do this is that the current 3 band settings can easily be converted into a 4 band PEQ preset meaning that there would be no sound surprise for anyone updating.
If I may speak of my preferences: Parametric EQ is better suited for correcting things in an individual song, whereas A graphic EQ is best for the overall output. I say this because it is usually the case that an individual song needs severe help...the master mix rarely requires such power. If it it DOES? Something very large is wrong..way beyond the scope of StageTraxx to fix.
I think 4 Band Parametric available per song would be exquisite. Id even be happy with 2 parametric bands (variable frequency sweep, and variable Q bandwidth) and a shelving HP and LP filter selectable setting at 200Hz and 100 Hz and 10kHz and 8.5kHz. ..if the task is difficult for the Device.

peter I totally agree with you Peter a parametric EQ on songs would be a huge help.
The 8 band Master EQ has just saved me a lot of hastle as i bought a new PA system and found the top end was not as dominant as the old PA so it was easily fixed by the 8 band master EQ.
Innitialy i panicked to what i was going to do not realising you added the master EQ thank god you did it saved me a lot of effort.
The 3 band on songs is just not flexible enough, because everyone has different needs of instrument backing and song choices this EQ just doasnt do anything in some songs.
Looking forward to the Parametric.
