Hi Peter.
I just start the App,and all my songs comings in red. And it write Missing.
I couldn't start,play,....nothing !!!!
Tell me what to do !
And I couldn't open the help.The time show 99.59"
All the song in red.Missing.I couldn't play or stop. Nothing.
I don't made a backup.Or y don't remember.
Why ? Why all this happening??!!!
I just looking for the maximum security possible to have. And the best App.
But alll this ar Catastrophic problems. All this are not should happen in Apple.Probably is one App problem, what is necessary to fix.
Better !!!! Try it 1000 times, very hardly. And if everything is ok,then sell it on AppStore.
Now what we do????!!!!!! We are not talking about IPad,or hardware problems. We are talking of loosing thousands of Euro in time, with working in this App,and than,in one moment,BUM )))))!!!
All is gone.
I really hope you will give me a solucion what I can fix in one evening .
I guess you have revoked access to the iTunes library.
Open your iPad settings and select Stage Traxx. Now make sure that the iTunes access is enabled. Restart Stage Traxx after enabling access and your tracks will be available again.
I find the problem. In my music store,in my IPad ,it's only one song. All the rest disappear. But when I check my storage, all the songs are there. And when I check my music,.....only one song. There is the problem. I try to fix this.
Make sure that you have not enabled Apple Music. Stage Traxx is not able to play copy protected songs from Apple Music.
Hi Peter
I keep a back up but I do notice that quite often all the songs will go red and have to be found again even though I haven't changed any access privileges. It would be really nice if StageTraxx found the songs automatically but it doesn't seem to do that every time.
I just did a few manual “repair link” actions to make sure I wasn't going crazy. The songs are resident on the iPad but StageTraxx doesn't seem to want to load them. I tried a hard reboot of the iPad thinking maybe it would trick StageTraxx into finding and loading them but it didn't work.
Do you have Apple Music enabled?
Yes...but Apple Music is on all ipads isn't it? I use it a lot to find material and then if I like it I buy the karaoke song from itunes store and that's what ends up in Stage Traxx.
The Main Ipad that I use for performance doesn't have access to Apple Music. However, the one I use for researching songs -this one - is also my Stage Traxx backup that goes to every gig...just in case! I have only needed it once when I forgot to charge the main ipad and another time when the main one wouldn't open...whew! ALWAYS take a backup to a gig. Advice from Tim
I'm sorry, but you will need to disable Apple Music. Because when Apple Music is enabled you can no longer rely on the songs being downloaded without copy protection. Only way to ensure that songs are downloaded without copy protection is to disable Apple Music.
My routine is this. Find song on Apple music. Once I know it's what I want by listening to the whole thing I sesrch it on iTunes Store and buy it. I wait for the download to appear and then search it using Stage Traxx. Sometimes Stage Traxx sends a “copy-protected” message if I haven't properly completed the purchase. Otherwise Stage Traxx permits it to be loaded. Then I import the lyrics and timecode them and that routine seems to work just fine. Everything is stable until it isn’t. And I can’t figure outnwhat happened recently for all the songs to go red in ST I think it was “pilot error” at my end. I must have deleted my downloaded songs to find room on the iPad.
Well, you could copy the files via iTunes filesharing into Stage Traxx. That way neither the mapping can get mixed up, nor will they be deleted or moved by iTunes.
And also make sure that Stage Traxx has access to iTunes (in iPad settings -> Stage Traxx)
Before I embark on the file sharing journey I just want to confirm the steps.
I plug the iPad into the Mac
On the file sharing screen I see Stage Traxx listed as an app
On the right, after clicking Stage Traxx I see Stage Traxx Documents
On the bottom I see Add
After clicking Add I get a menu including Media
i pick Music and my songs show up
Some are karaoke songs and some are just random songs I don't need on Stage Traxx
I select the songs that appeared in red on Stage Traxx on the iPad
Correct so far? If so, does this mean that Stage Traxx will go and find these songs when I do a backup rather than show them in red?
Thanks
Yes correct. You don't need the add dialog. I find it faster to just grab the files and drop them in the documents area.
Once you added them, you need to repair the link in Stage Traxx for each song. Once this is done, there will be no more issues with missing songs. Well, except when you delete a song in the documents area of iTunes file sharing.
I seem to have opened a can of digital worms. The good news is that the main iPad is not affected. But my backup is behaving very strange. I did the file sharing transfer with iTunes to the Stage Traxx app. It seemed to accept most of the songs. Then I repaired all the red missing songs. I tested the songs and they were working. I plugged the ipad into the charger. When I reopened Stage Traxx the songs are no longer available. I am getting the message “unexpected error couldn’t open the audio file”. This is new to me. What’s goin’ on! Thanks Peter.
This is an error from the audio engine. It is displayed when the file could not be found. Please check that the file is still available as a local file (for example by adding it as a local file to a playlist).
I think I was repairing by searching the normal database for songs instead of using the Local folder. By the way can Local be Drop Box? Or does the Local folder always have to be created by dragging songs into the Stage Traxx app by using iTunes file sharing? The reason I ask is that it seems a bit easier to get the songs into drop box using airdrop than by using file sharing.
Songs downloaded from Dropbox will also be available as local songs.
