Problem upgrading st2 to st3 local files

Hi, first, let me thank you for an awesome software.

The problem I am having is that when I try to migrate from st2.10 to st3 I do the backup and restore thing and it bring everything except songs I had stored as LOCAL FILES. It does bring the playlists, lyrics, and other settings but not the audio mp3.

Reading around here I figured I could simply copy the mp3 files to the st3 folder, but I cant find the st2 files or location, and I don't have them anywere else. I have not deinstalled 2.10 so I can still play the, and access them on the old app. So the questions are:

Where are the st2 mp3 files storesd?
How can I copy/move them the st3 folder?

The process for local files is to first move them into the st3 folder and then restore the st2 backup. The st2 folder is not visible in the files app as st2 does not support this feature. So you will need to use iTunes filesharing to move the files from st2 to your computer and then to st3.

You can then try to refresh the song list. It should then register the new songs.

peter hi Peter, how does one go about copying St2 local files to st3 folder?

In the middle of migration to st3 from 2.10.6 on the same iPad (iOS 12.1.1 as I’m still using st2 and afraid to update) and I’m missing some files which are stored in st2 local files.

Well not really, because he needs to transfer the audio files. For the backup file your hint is spot on.

This is why my brain plays tricks on me. I’m pretty sure I imported all my songs to st3 from 2 by just importing the back up from Dropbox via the menu in st3 , it took about one hour, I didn’t use I tunes.

Use iTunes Filesharing to move them from the Stage Traxx folder to the Stage Traxx 3 folder.
