Song details window laggy on scroll

When opening song info, the first time you scroll down in the “Details” window, there is a visible lag, as if too much processing was taking place. After this, scrolling is smooth.

If you close the info window and open it again, same thing happens.

Just clarifying - 'the first time' for me was literally just the first time after update to Build 2112 that I opened a Song Details screen that I noticed that. Thereafter, I never saw it again opening other songs.

Not sure whether you are seeing it first time you open each song after the update, or just the first first time as I described above.

AnthonyB It’s the first time after you tap the Info button. Even for the same song.

So, tap the info button, scroll Details - sluggish.
Move to Audio window and back to Details. Scroll. Smooth scrolling
Close info and open it again. Scroll Details. Sluggish again

More observations related to song info windows (didn’t want to create a new thread for each)

Sliders in “Details” and “Audio” are very sluggish
Audio > Song volume - current value window width is too small (-10.0 dB or less doesn’t fit)
Audio > Pitch & Speed - double tap doesn’t work on either slider
Audio > Speed - current value window width too small (100 % or more doesn’t fit)
Details & Audio windows - scrolling position is not retained when going back to ST4 after another app was open
Scroll Details all the way down, then open Audio and scroll all the way down - some lag happens here too

musicadi Double tap works everywhere. Make sure you don't double tap on the handle. Double tap on the slider track to reset.

That's odd. I definitely saw it the very first time I opened the Song Details page after updating to 2112, but since then, every time I jump in and out of any song the performance has been completely normal.

All of those other items you listed are completely unchanged and normal for me.
I'm using a 9th Gen iPad (iOS26.1.0).

Out of curiosity, what device and OS are you using?

AnthonyB Interesting. iPad Air 3, iOS 26.1

I removed and reinstalled ST4, created and empty test song.

Now it also happens when switching from Lyrics to Details.

If you wait a few seconds before scrolling, it’s smooth, so it seems some heavy processing is going on in the background when you open the Details window.

Fixed the slider movements and truncated labels in build 2135.

Scrolling can not be fixed. SwiftUI just takes its time rendering the views. There is no active processing in these views that could slow down performance. Same with scroll position. View is reset when you switch to another app.

On my side the Speed slider is still sluggish. Everything else is nice and smooth 🙂
