Adding Key field to Song Details & possible enhancement for local lyric matching

Added a key field to songs with a custom picker view to select the song key. The key is displayed in the list views and will automatically transpose according to the song specific chord transpose settings. Please not that the key displayed in the song details is always the untransposed original key.

Added in build 2178.

OK, I'll get in early on this request - no love for Minor 7 keys? 😛

The custom picker only gives us blank (major) and m (minor) key variants. I know it will be asked - thoughts on other variants? Maybe not all (unless it doesn't actually make any difference), but the more common ones such as m7? I'd say sus4 but that will make the picker a lot wider...

Hmm, I don’t think ‘sus4’ is a key. Or m7 for that matter. Chords yes, but m7 is just a chord colour variation of a m chord.

MarkGuitar I agree, but then I'm primarily a bass player 🙂
Other musicians I work with would disagree.
I'm just trying to avoid the future "Why does it say the Key is Dm when it's actually Dm7???"
Personally, I barely care about whether it is major or minor 😛

As I've already said - just flagging it because I know plenty of musicians that do not agree with that perspective.

There is a Dm7 chord, which could be played in just about any key, depending on how bold you are 😆

I have to agree to the above statements.

There is no such key as a Dm7. A key only consist of a note (a-g), an optional accidental (# or b) and the scale (major or minor). You could maybe argue to include more scale options like lydian or mixolydian but certainly not a "7" which only depicts a single note within the scale of the chord.
