Remove the “select song” step when tapping a song

Hi Peter,

Would it be possible to remove the “select song” step that happens before the song is loaded, at least visually?

I suspect it adds extra processing that might slow down the loading of a song.

Maybe this could be a user selectable option: “Tap selects song” vs “Tap loads song into player”

I can remove that but it will not speed up song loading and you will get no visual feedback that something happened after your tap until the song is loaded. I don't consider this to be an improvement.

peter Ok, I see what you mean. What if you make the "Play" and "Next" labels appear right after you tap? I think that's what happens in ST3, and it just feels better.

This way you would have the visual feedback.
