Jsts1970 But I miss the Opportunity to scroll lyrics sections manualy by foot, via my Airturn bluetooth pedal, when I play acoustic, without backingtracks, since the tempo can vary from time to time.
Hi Jasper, yes i know exactly what you are needing , but there is a way to do this in ST3, by cheating a bit , audio segments can be selected by foot pedal , you can just load in any audio and segment it to number of parts you want to break up your lyrics , chuck in your lyrics place timestamps at beginnings of your audio segments label the segment to verse 1, chorus 2 etc ,
Now you can jump to these lyrics by foot without using backing , you are simply using the lyrics only but you can jump to any part of the songs lyrics using Audio segments ,
If you have original song just place that as a template to create very accurate lyric positions.
I hope i have explained it ok , the segmenting process does not have to be perfect as you are not using audio, this then becomes a fairly fast process once you get to know what needs doing,
I segment every part of all my song very accurately sometimes i just don't use backing at all but the fact all my songs are segmented makes it easy to select parts of lyrics in a song on screen as well it gives me foot control and if i choose to use backing i just use the audio as well, this gives me choice of operation.
BUT , yes, a manual foot scroll of lyrics only should be available .
Single tap starts a preset speed
Single tap and hold scrolls at another a preset speed perhaps a bit faster , a double tap reverses scroll at a preset speed and a double tap and hold scrolls at another preset speed that might be a bit faster. All this can be programmed on one switch if you have the latest foot pedals, its all here right now we just need the software that can use the latest pedals functions.
Ive just purchased a new pedal and am very impressed with its capability it was $40 au i spent hundreds on Air-turn 6 which cant do anything in comparison, now I'm thinking spending hundreds on the top of the range foot pedals because they can do everything apart from driving me to a gig and setting up my rig, i haven't found a MIDI command for that 🤣 YET!
