Hi, I'm not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere, but I wanted to give it a try in this thread.
Context: We are a 4-piece band and have backing for all instruments in Stage Traxx. During gigs, we mute most tracks except for some synths, etc. During rehearsals, we unmute tracks for those who are not present, such as bass, guitar, vocals, etc. With the new mixer in ST4, I also foresee that we might experiment a bit during rehearsals, trying different settings and volumes. However, this way of using the mixer makes me a bit nervous that I might not revert everything back to "normal" or could mess up the settings before a gig.
I'm aware of the "Save Track Mutes Changes" option in the Playback settings, which I can turn off if we tweak things during rehearsal, but sometimes we might actually want to save those settings for the next gig.
Proposal: If "Save Track Mutes Changes" in the Playback settings is turned off, then a save button will appear in the mixer, as shown below. When pressing this button, a dialog box will appear asking for confirmation to save these mixer settings as the default for this song. If I make changes and don’t press this button, then jump to a new song, I would expect the mixer settings for that song to remain as they were before making any changes.
To make it even better, the save button should only appear if any changes have been made, and once saved it should disappear or be faded out so I can see that I actually have saved it.
Does the above make sense?
