Request: "Cancel" button in song editor

Hi Peter,

I think having a "Cancel" button in the song editor would be a good idea, for scenarios where you just want to clear any changes you made without having the "fear" if making irreversible changes.

I have to say, I constantly have that exact same fear.

Even if I'm just checking something, if my finger brushes across the screen I'm left wondering "did something accidently change?" and then I end up re-importing the lyric sheet from the source text file on my OneDrive just to be on the safe side!

A Cancel button, or some logic that recognises a change was made and forces a 'Save / Discard' prompt if you try and tab away or close perhaps?

So what exactly would be your expectation for saving in the editor? Save when you change the tab? Save only when you close the editor? Only save with a dedicated save button?

peter I think I consider all four tabs as a single entity. So a ”save” and ”cancel” button that persists or reverts changes made to any and all of the tabs. Obviously replacing the ”done” button.

peter I would say save when you tap "Done" or "Save" would be the most logical.

If you do decide to add a cancel button, chances are someone will soon be asking for a confirmation question… 😆
