TimRyland When I start the song, I no longer see the waveform at the top of the screen, just a progress bar. Is there an option to display the waveform?
No, there was simply no room for the waveform. But if it is important for the majority of users to sacrifice some lyrics area for a waveform view, I would be open to making the change.
TimRyland Have Keyboard shortcuts been implemented in the ios version, if so is there a list of them?
Yes, just define them yourself. There are no predefined shortcuts except the known ones in the lyrics editor.
jaytrax So why can’t songs be used from the main A-Z lists,
Why does it have to be added to a Queue or by long pressing and choosing play next ?
Nothing changed here. Select a song and it will be queued up. Same as in version 3.
jaytrax Also the crossfade doesn’t crossfade
It abruptly stops the active song and starts the next
Set crossfade times in Settings. Same as in version 3.
jaytrax Also the Master Eq section is gone where 6db gain could be added to compensate for the -6db buffer you had on ST3 - this can be compensated on the mixer gain but sending out 0db was easier from the device
ST3 has no 6db buffer. It is up to you to not overload your outputs. The master eq was replaced by the bus eqs.
jaytrax The arrow to show song list is gone ?
It is now a drag handle. And closing/opening is done by the buttons on top.
jaytrax Also the Volume up down buttons per track
Use assignable buttons for that if needed.
TimRyland Might be because I’m running on iPad (5th gen, ios 16.7), but the song volume fader and eq adjustments are rather jerky and slow to respond.
Yes, the UI needs quite a bit of cpu. I might be able to improve that a bit. But a 5th gen iPad might be a bit slow here and there.
AnthonyB ut I'm going to request a 'hide crossfade button' toggle option in the Settings
No, I want to keep settings at a minimum. If crossfade is indeed not needed by most users, I will just remove the button (or change the functionality). You can always add an assignable button to crossfade.
AnthonyB So the pain point I'm now seeing with this change AND the fact that the Queue isn't part of the side bar (or dockable) is that you can't leave the Queue docked beside the lyrics to see what is coming up.
I wanted to show the queue in addition to the playlist. Therefore the popover. But if it is more useful to show it on the left sidebar, I can do that.
jaytrax Maybe consider allowing a toggle option to show rewind and crossfade
Again, I don't want this as an option. But I am open to making changes to the bottom bar and remove the 2 buttons in favor of a song volume slider. If this is what the majority wants.
Damir Hi Peter, feedback , please consider getting rid of this unnecessary message and use this spot for more useful purpose, my suggestion is give us the search function instead so we can easily find a song when in playlist mode so we don’t need to exit to song mode , also as I said before when you hit the playlist arrow to enter all playlists can you in the same place have the opposite return arrow so we can easily get back to where we were .
Yes, I will change that. The question is: In ST3 when you made certain edits to a playlist loaded into the player, some things did update the player (like autoplay settings) and some things didn't (like changing the song order). I didn't like this and wanted to make it consistent. So I decided that editing a playlist will not update the player. Only after you tap on a song in the playlist, it will update the player. Therefore the message. But I need your feedback here: How would you expect the app to react when editing a playlist that is loaded in the queue?
Mattjohnson Stage_Traxx_4.BackupManager.Backu-pError.fileSystemError ("Failed to extract legacy backup: The operation couldn't be completed. (Zip.ZipError
Zip errors always means a damaged file. In most cases this is caused by an incomplete file transfer.
MarkGuitar I have a bunch of things to report but will wait for the flood to die down a bit as don’t want to overwhelm you.
One thing I would like to ask though, what is the purpose of the up/down arrows next to the green play button? Doesn’t seem to do anything for me?
You can use them to step through the songs in the list. They only work if the song list or playlist is open.
Damir Feedback on REGION EDITOR.
Let's move to the editor issues once the main UI and audio functionality is working satisfactory.
Damir The visual indicator on the side does not appear on the now selected song which is ready to hit play, this has happened quite regularly, the next song in line does get its yellow indicator show up but the now to play song is not highlighted.
I have never seen that. Are you sure you are not in another playlist?
Damir I do miss the full line being coloured as it was very easy to see and follow, perhaps this could be a visual option that don’t need it , I find it very reassuring to what song is doing what.
I got some feedback that this is too much, therefore I toned it down a bit. But I am open to coloring the background if this is what most users want.
Damir The Zoom in out on the Lyrics screen is pointless as you already have the pinch and zoom but what makes it more frustrating there is no zoom level indicator so you have no idea to what zoom point you are on.
There is no pinch on macOS, therefore the buttons. I will try to improve the responsiveness and show the text size in a popup maybe.
Damir Hi Peter, one problem found similar to Audio Editor, the Permanent loop and all other programmed options in Audio segments should be ignored by the Text editor otherwise you can not progress to enter data if you have a permanent loop on your intro as an example.
Agree, just forgot to implement that. Will also make adjustments to the toolbar buttons. But segmented background colors in the editor are not possible.
