StageTraxx hung twice during rehearsal yesterday

Buongiorno. Scrivo in italiano per facilità. Innanzitutto ti faccio i complimenti. Sono musicista da 45 anni e "endorser" di due software house importanti. Il tuo software è veramente spettacolare e contiene praticamente il set di tutti gli strumenti utili ai live e all'edit delle canzoni.
Ieri nell'edit dei testi su Mac Os il programma ha fatto tre volte crash e si è chiuso.
Se posso esserti di aiuto, forse si potrebbe pensare ad un sistema di ripristino e salvataggio automatico per casi simili.
In aggiunta, per quanto riguarda l'edit e il sync dei testi (lyrics) forse sarebbe opportuno poter usare la barra spaziatrice per i minuti / secondi in quanto l'icona è particolarmente piccola e difficile da centrare. Inoltre nella registrazione dei minuti / secondi, forse, nella pagina di edit, sarebbe il caso di aggiungere un knob per la centratura fine.
Mi complimento ancora una volta per lo stupendo lavoro svolto sul software che è veramente bello.

Step by step instructions would also be very helpful so that I can try to reproduce the issue myself.

We also had the iOS version hang on us last night for probably the very first time in a very very long time. We're 1 step behind the latest version. Had to force close and restart. no problems the rest of the night. Will keep an eye on it. Nothing different being done to normal, and in fact the same exact setup etc that hasnt changed in probably over a year, other than occasional updates, or adding new songs. No updates done in a while and no new songs added or played in about a month. Only thing that I did during the week, was to add the air turn bluetooth back into the setup so I can remote start the iPad on the stage from FOH. The bluetooth wasnt used or even switched on last night. iPad fully up to date on latest iOS.

So Autoplay was off? You pressed play and nothing happened? Or did the play button change state and then nothing happened?

Auto play was off, pressed the button the crossfade and the full thing hung

This has happened to me 4 times during fast cross-fade from song to song.

I am working on a set list and just checking how songs are connected so I start a song, manually drag the play head towards the end and then I cross-fade to the next and so on.

When this happens the app freezes.

If I swipe up to go to the home screen the minimised version is no a completely black window. I kill the app by swiping it up and open again. 3 of the 4 time it was a black screen and had to kill it a second time to make it work.

Hm, I never saw something like that happen myself. Is there a way to reproduce this issue reliably?

Unfortunately no way.

This is the frustrating part.
I will have to use my phone taking video of the screen and me trying to get it to crash.

Will do it today and report back.

I wonder if there are any other common factors?

iOS version recently upgraded to on the iPad (e.g. iOS 18.6 on recent models)?
Did the problem start after a specific version of ST3 was updated to (https://stagetraxx.com/user-guide/changelog/)? And remember, your device may takes days/weeks to update the app based on the way the App Store does it's lazy updating. You'd need to check on your device as to when the last update applied to your device.
Different bitrate/sample rate, or even format, of the audio files involved in the crossfade?

Just spitballing other possible factors as it's always weird when something that has worked fine for ages semms to stop working for no apparent reason, and with no apparent changes being made to the system.

We have also had this happen a few times recently - on an iPad device, iOS 18.6, using autoplay. We've never had any issue in the past but all the sudden about 2 hours into our set (which autoplays the entire time) suddenly it just stopped and we had to forceclose the app and restart it. That's not all that hard but of course that then knocks all the other Joined sessions offline, so everyone has to reconnect which is difficult mid-song.

So I found a way to cause the issue. A specific song that is trimmed with the regions to end in the middle of the file with automatic cross-fade enabled. MPEG 4 audio.

If I repeatedly slide the play head all the way to the end every few tries it freezes.

Then:
1 I waited for some minutes and the app never recovered by itself.
2 I terminate immediately the app and if I start it it is again frozen (some time it is frozen in the edit song page of the particular song) if I terminate it for a second time the app works.
3 I terminate it taking my time (few seconds) then start it again (after also few seconds) and starts first try working again.
4 I waited a lot (couple minutes) minimised it (not terminated) 2 times and it recovered.

I have video of a lot of freezing now.
