Just sanity checking - whenever ST4 comes out I assume most of us will be jumping on board - So Peter, you must be planning a way to import songs from v3 to v4?

Just checking, but I'm also assuming it will be possible to run ST3 and ST4 on the same device, side by side (independent databases and any other folders for imported files of courses), so as we're testing out ST4 we can still use ST3 in case of any quirks or stability issues?
Yes, ST4 will be a separate app. You can keep using version 3 as long as you like and also run both versions in parallel. Just like version 2 and 3. There are still users preferring to stay on version 2 more than 5 years after version 3 has been released.

the amount of data is very large for my environment, I have never been able to get the "full backup" to work, meaning
#1 - creating the backup file
#2 - able to move the backup file to another licensed system....
I have more success moving smaller chunks of data via groups of songs, rather than full backup
Moving to version 4 leaves me nervous, will there be a way to test this out ?
I'd be willing to use my system as a beta test to see if it can work with large data environments, just an idea....
Maybe when a backup file is created it can be monitored within the app to detect the success or failure of creating such....again just an idea....this would give you eyes on this process.....
There will be a long beta testing phase (most likely 3 months or even more). I hope beta testing will start end of summer / early autumn.
