  • Selectable Assignable Button Mode improvement

Hi Peter, i am asking if i could have the NEXT AUDIO REGION/ LOOP CURRENT REGION changed to NEXT AUDIO REGION/ PREVIOUS AUDIO REGION to be available instead, the reason is LOOP CURRENT REGION is already available in my lyrics screen yet i do not have PREVIOUS AUDIO REGION anywhere.
Which is important because i rather choose my next audio segments with the 2 assignable buttons then put my hand across my lyrics and block them plus the chance of me hitting the wrong area and dropping down the whole page by mistake, this has been constantly occurring and is a major problem which i have pointed out ages ago and it still is a constant frustration when performing.

The other thing is the MOVE SELECTION should read MOVE THROUGH SONGS SELECTION or MOVE SONG SELECTION to be much more clear and in that case i would relabel the above suggestion to simplify everything i would call the above feature MOVE THROUGH AUDIO SEGMENTS or MOVE AUDIO SEGMENTS.
Or something similar, perhaps better, but consistent and direct to the point.
Cheers Damir

To add,
while you have AUDIO MUTE on its own why don't you pair the LOOP CURRENT REGION with that button instead that way you are maximising the use of space and gain more consistency

Personally I prefer the current assignment. I prefer those two buttons together and would consider the combination mute/loop to be fatal. If you hit mute instead of loop that would be a major problem.

In any case, there will be no more changes to the user interface in version 3 and in version 4 the assignable buttons will be freely assignable so that this problem will be gone anyway.

Sorry I don’t understand this part,
Why would you prefer the current assignment when audio segment loop is already available yet previous loop selection is no where to be found , going backwards is very useful and quick , having two places to instantly select permanent loop is a waste of space and unnecessary.

peter the combination mute/loop to be fatal. If you hit mute instead of loop that would be a major problem.

All buttons near the stop button could be fatal, but it makes more sense to group the same function buttons in pairs to maximise the realestate with useful quick functions.
Having a single mute button next to stop could also be fatal so why not have a permanent loop function in between to seperate the deadly functions so if you hit permanent loop instead of mute at least it’s not fatal and at least you have 2 functions in all selections which is consistent.
The stop start button is still a very good size even with 2 function buttons present.
      It makes more sense .

Damir Why would you prefer the current assignment when audio segment loop is already available

Because I find it easier to hit than the button in the lyrics area.

Damir All buttons near the stop button could be fatal

That's why there is the double tap option for the stop button.

With the iPad in front of my mic stand and being a right hand guitarist I find hitting in the right side of the lyrics area is much easier then the left bottom side of screen.

I agree it’s a work around to a problem but I don’t use it as a simple single hit is more reliable and faster when under pressure, it’s more important that I can easily manoeuvre through the audio segments in both directions.
