ST3 Not Sending MIDI - Embedded in Lyrics

I've got MIDI commands embedded in a song via Edit Lyrics but the command won't send. The only way I can get ST3 to send the midi command is to highlight the midi command on my iPad then a menu pops up with an option to "Send MIDI" (see the screenshot below). Again, if the song is playing the MIDI command won't send unless I highlight it and click on "Send MIDI". Any ideas?

chris1111 that midi syntax is used for when a song is loaded. Looks like you want to send it at a certain part of the song so it needs to be a timed midi message I.e [midi@01:00.00: PC1@1]
