Want Control Berhringer XR-18 MIDI with Footswitch

Hi, ST3 Community
I want to control some MIDI functions on my Behringer XR18 using footswitch button assignments.
I was able to configure a couple of functions (FX mute, Main mute) using the two “assignable” Action 1 & 2 under Playback Settings but I would like to control more than just two. Any suggestions?

CFMD28 there’s some global messages in playback settings upon load, start, stop or playback ends or you’d need to do this within each song or direct from your footswitch to the mixer.

Lishy Upon further inspection, I think those additional global settings will do the trick. I only need a couple more.

Unfortunately, those additional global settings did not allow to enter custom midi commands like Action 1 & 2 do. My workaround is to run both ST3 and OnSong side-by-side. At this point, I am primarily using OsSong and a midi footpedal progammer to control actions outside ST3, like the Behringer XR-18 and the Beat Buddy. I will run all my lyrics and tracks from ST3.

Peter, maybe you can add several more Action options to version 4. The more the better.

CFMD28 why can’t you just add the messages to the lyrics?

Lishy I control these midi devices outside the lyrics. One control turns reverb off when I’m talking to the audience.

CFMD28 so either use the global commands to turn it off when the song stops and turn it on when the song starts or add a timed message at the end of the song to turn it off and one turn it on again when the song starts in the lyrics.
