I play for dances and we play 3 songs of the same type example, 3 waltzes, 3 polkas etc. after the 3rd song we always play a little interlude to indicate that we have finished the 3 songs. Is there anyway to program this so the interlude will load after the the third song? I was thinking of midi commands in the lyrics of the 3rd song to accomplish this but I know nothing about midi?

rcprog yes just press the autoload button on the song before and it will load straight away.

Lishy I don't want to create a playlist with the Interlude appearing in the playlist several times. I want ST3 to load the Interlude song as the next song, then the autoplay will play the Interlude as the next song. I was thinking that this could be accomplished in the Lyrics of the 3rd song with a command that would load the interlude as the next song.

Playlists are the only way to organize playback of multiple songs. Why not add your interlude to a playlist after each 3rd song? You can add the interlude multiple times to a playlist without any issues.

peter Thank you Peter. I was just hoping to avoid doing that.

In SONG mode Just select the interlude song as NEXT song and enable AUTOPLAY it will be selected and played at the end of your last song choice this seems simple but it has disadvantages.
Using playlists is the best solution you can name one playlist as waltzes and place an interlude song at end of playlist and have it play automatically , and create another 3 song POLKA playlist with the interlude at the end that will play automatically after the last polka song, and so on. This beats SONG MODE as you can quickly get to any playlist you need and it provides exactly what you want to do with it, SONG mode is simple but makes you work hard on the night searching for next songs to play.
PLAYLISTS are great for lots of different uses, you just have to learn how to use them to suit your purpose.
Nothing can happen easily unless you learn how to do things easily.

Damir Thank you Damir. What I'm currently doing is I setup my playlist with 3 waltzes then 3 polkas and so on and on the 3rd song I enable AUTOPLAY, but while I'm playing live I have to remember to press on my AIRTURN PEDAL during the 3rd song that's sends a midi command to load the Interlude as the NEXT song.

I was hoping to have a midi command in the lyrics of the 3rd song that accomplishes this for me automatically.

I am sort of getting the picture, so you use 1 playlist with all your songs , 3 waltzes then 3 polkas etc but after the last waltz or polka you need to autoplay an interlude, is this always the case or is the reason you are using manual midi because you need to be able to not have an inerlude on occasions so you don't want it fully programed?
Because if its regular, then all you do is load the interlude after every 3rd song and place an auto play command permanently on the last song of every gender.
To do this , while you are in stop mode select the third waltz or polka in your playlist and finger slide to left side on the song, this brings up the auto play option ,select it , now this will always be remembered so the first two songs will not autoplay but after the third one in each gender will auto play your interlude, this will be remembered until you disengage it.
This requires no midi control, and will work for all your genders of music on the third song as long as you program it correctly.
There are 3 auto play modes
1 the whole playlist can be put in to autoplay
2 you press the auto play button to engage or disengage autoplay , this is not remembered by st3
3 in stop mode slide to left on a song to permanently place this song in autoplay, this is remembered by ST3.
This 3rd method is not well known by users but is very handy when requiring a particular method of performance.
I hope i understood your exact need.

Damir Thank you! That seems to work well. I'll setup the playlists and try it on my next gig.
