Stop ST3 playing next song automatically?!

Help

I have a gig in 3 hours and ST3 has started playing then next song automatically within a playlist.

How do I stop this happening?
I’ve turned this setting on and off and it makes no difference…

Ok, so it looks like some songs have the Autoplay selected in the top right corner, and I can't turn that off; in fact i didn't turn that setting on, and I've never even used that setting before. And it seems to randomly apply to some songs and not others

Any ideas how to turn that off?

No, that’s definitely off.
And it’s only some songs that have Autoplay selected in the top right corner of that particular song - and I didn’t select that!

littlespaceman your pic is showing it’s on within the song, so if the playlist is off then just turn it off in the individual song.

littlespaceman slide left on that song and turn off auto play as Lishy suggested.
There are two auto play modes that work differently.
The set list auto play all just gives you a quick way to engage all songs within that playlist, the slide to the left on a song and choosing auto play while in stop mode allows you to permanently dedicate that song to auto play or not , the Auto play button on top right is a temporary switch to engage or disengage the auto play while you are performing.
The idea is you can setup auto play in any way you need it , but you need to understand it or else you can create confusion, which is understandable as it is a very flexible and useful option.

The main issue is that I HAVE deselected Autoplay within the songs that have Autoplay selected, but each time I go back in to those songs, Autoplay has turned itself back on.
My understanding is that if I turn it off and exit the song back to the playlist or select another song, then when I go back in to the song in which I turned AP off, it should still be off, no?

Because in my case AP has turned itself back on, and I don’t understand how or why - it’s never done this before, and it’s not turned on in the playlist setting.

Any ideas? Is it me, or a glitch somewhere?

littlespaceman when you turn the auto play off within a song make sure you are not playing the file , you need to be in STOP mode otherwise it’s not a permanent change.
If that still doesn’t work then it’s a software issue that has changed and might need a fix.

Where exactly did you turn auto play off, with the top right button or did you swipe left on the actual song file and disabled auto play there?

Ok, great, got that thank you. So the issue was I knew there were two ways to turn on Autoplay; 1) in the Playlist page, and 2) within each individual song.
What I didn't know is that there's a 3rd, which is the swipe left within the song list. Can I turn this feature off? I don't need 3 different way to turn on AP, and what has confused me in this case is that in fact I didn't turn it on, at all, using any of the 3 different ways.
All very strange, but resolved now, thank you

There is no need to turn that off, because if you don’t need it just don’t use it , the default is no songs are selected for auto play as, you must have selected the permanent auto play at some stage and forgot about it, the reason for this feature is you can create some permanent auto play songs and not others , this is very handy when creating a smooth flowing show. If you don’t need it make sure you don’t swipe left and choose this as it will confuse you.
The top right button is just a temporary change of auto play mode , and the swipe left is a permanent setting , the auto play all playlist is just a quick way of placing the whole playlist to auto play and the top right button just temporarily changes the now playing song.
So all modes of auto play are possible once you know exactly how the 3 functions work.
This kills APPLE MUSIC PLAYER.

Damir Definitely didn’t turn it on and forget about it, but as I didn’t know about the swipe left function, it’s possible my wife accidentally swiped left (she gets to control the tablet now as she’s the singer and I have my hands full with guitars!) and I didn’t noticed the little blue bar that tells you it’s turned on.

Thank you for your help though, it’s all resolved now 👍🏻🙏🏻

Actually Autoplay can only be toggled in a playlist and that will be remembered whenever you load song from that playlist. Or it can be toggled in the queue list and that will only affect the current queue.

It makes no difference if you use the button or the swipe menu to toggle individual Autoplay.

Thanks Peter - so...

1) You can only swipe AP on/off in a Playlist or Queue.
2) Whatever AP setting you have in the Playlist or Queue does not affect the same individual song when accessed from the Song list.
3) If you swipe to turn on AP, it won't reflect that on the button at top right (the 'down arrow' icon in a blue square) unless you use that particular button to turn AP on or off

Is that all correct?

2) correct. There is no autoplay option in the song list.
3) no, if you swipe on the currently playing song, it will also change the button. If you swipe on a song that is not playing it will of course not change that button
