  • Can other band members edit my songs?

Hi, hope you’re doing well. Awesome app, so many great features!

I was wondering if our vocalist could edit his lyrics? I’m the one who’s managing all our band’s backing tracks. I’d be great if our vocalist could enter my account and edit lyrics and stuff like that so I don’t have to do all the work, do you what I mean? But I don’t know if it’s even possible.

Can we share the same playlists and such?

Thanks in advance.

They can create lyrics only songs with the same title and artist and edit their own lyrics. Then hey should enable the option to show their own lyrics when joining a session.

peter Thanks Peter. I mean, I have songs with backing tracks which we’re slowly editing the lyrics so they show exactly what to sing (in yellow) and auto scrolling which is awesome. But only I can do that since everything is in my account. Don’t know if there’s a way that our vocalist could access those same songs so he can do those lyrics edits so we could divide the meticulously work of syncing all our set list.

      Best regards.

Yes it’s possible and this is how I would do it if I had band members to share the work load yet I am the one that’s in control of all backing tracks.
Just email the audio tracks to the people you need to do the work or do a full backup of your device and send them this file , they load the songs or restore full backup in to their ST3 software and do the time consuming text editing and syncing of the songs they need , then when they are happy they COPY ALL in the editor of all the text and time codes, and save to NOTEPAD on their device then email you back the text of all songs , all you do is copy all, in the notepad and paste to your ST3 Job done. Then after a while make a full backup and share it with your band members so you have multiple devices that are identical on stage for backup while yours is the one you use as a master to perform with.
I am just assuming to how you operate so it’s just a prompt and a suggestion.
      Cheers Damir

What Damir did not mention is that you can share songs with other band members. Enter Edit mode in the song list, select the songs you want to share and hit the share button in the toolbar.

Yes I forgot you can do that as well , the only thing multiple song sharing you don’t really know all the songs you have in the saved file and can get confusing if you are continually sharing files, but I guess if it works for you use it.

Will do this. Thanks a lot.

        Best regards.
