Has anybody had any problems with iPad Pro fourth GEN after the recent update 18.0.1… Before the update, I had no issues with my iPad, recognizing any of my interfaces… Now my iPad will not recognize anything other than a charger…

I guess you mean 18.1. That works fine for me. Tried 3 different audio interfaces and all are recognized as always.

peter I apologize it wasn’t 18.1 but 18.0…. But then I Downloaded 18.1 hoping it would correct it, but it has not. I have spent more than three days and probably more than 10 hours on the phone with technicians from Apple…. Last Friday, I was on there for six hours and still I cannot get my iPad Pro to recognize the interfaces… My regular iPad works as it always did. It recognizes all of them…. Unfortunately, I cannot run Logic Pro on that iPad…. I don’t know what the problem is, but I know that I have tried every hub that I have iOS compliant every connector every cable…. And it will not work… I can connect an old USB-C wired earbuds, and it will not recognize it either… I truly believe it’s something in the settings, but that’s just me….. To be honest, I never had a problem with any of my iOS products except now… I had a representative from Audient Send me about half a dozen links to different groups Where people were discussing having the same issue…. I don’t really care at this point I’ve been disabled since 2020 and this music is all that I have that helps me maintain a little bit of sanity I have left…. So I guess it is just what it is…BS

Have you tried re installing them all your software in case things have not been installed properly?
Perhaps there is something wrong with your particular device.
Don’t give up as apple first point of contact help are not experts , you need to talk to specialists up the chain and even they have limited knowledge so keep trying there is always a cause to a problem it’s a matter of finding it.

I don't think reinstalling apps will help. Seems more like an iOS driver issue. I guess you already tried rebooting?

Damir I have reinstalled every app unfortunately, the problem still exists… But like I said, I have not installed any of the updates on my other iPad and it’s still continues to work properly.

peter yes, sir, I had rebooted countless times, reinstalled the apps To no avail… Everything still works on the other iPad that I have not updated but like I said, I cannot run Logic Pro on that iPad.. I even ordered and received a new USB C Adapter from Apple and I still get the same results

Damir also, I wanted to mention I have three iOS compliant interfaces, and none of them work now

          Damir

Damir As far as the chain with Apple, I have spoken with three different advisors as they call them

mbrowdertx well it definitely sounds like an apple issue after what you just mentioned , i would bark hard to apple and get them to fix this , i found that if you don't bark you don't get anywhere fast, lots of time they wont admit fault but later things start working again as they should , i suppose its hard to keep things in order due to great complexity , sometimes it pays to wait and only upgrade software if absolutely necessary, i normally wait till a new version comes out and upgrade to the last version of the oldest version , its damn hard when you have multiple devices of ranging age , you have to juggle things very carefully as apple keeps changing things daily.
            Good luck with it.

Usually it is safe to update on when the .1 version is released. So 18.1 should have fixed the most urgent bugs.

The only thing that comes to mind is that you could try to connect the interface directly with a usb-c to usb-b cable (often called usb-c printer cable). That way omitting the whole adapter and usb switches which could be a cause of the issue.

peter Thank you for the effort in trying to help me it means a lot🙏but unfortunately I tried that also…I don’t believe there is any way to circumvent the situation that I haven’t tried…I currently have a call into the last Apple advisor I spoke with…she was kind enough to give me her email and promised to help me until we got this resolved…she was off Thursday and Friday so hopefully I will here from her soon….in the meantime thanks again for your willing to help🙏
