iPad 9th gen won’t save a full back up to cloud.

Good morning Peter,
So sorry to bother you, I have a 9 and 10 th gen iPad. My new iPad is saving full and data base only back ups to the cloud perfectly. My 9th gen pad is ok with data base back ups, but won’t save full back ups of around 6gigs to my cloud. I have 100 gig of storage available on the cloud and 22 gig on the actual pad. I’ve attached the error message.

I’ve tried rebooting, soft resets, signing in and out, but it’s not helping.

Hi again, I’ve realised the file is actually 8 gig, I’ve saved it to the pad, and I’ve tried dragging it in to I tunes but I’m getting the spinning wheel timer icon.

I’ll let you know how it works out

The only limit is the available space on your device and in iCloud.

I’ve noticed incredible speed difference during the creation of the back up files on the 9 versus 10, I’ll replace the old pad asap.

The error on your first picture is not because your iCloud is full but because your iPad is full. It is not possible to create a file directly in the cloud. It always needs to be created locally first and when complete, it will be copied to iCloud. So the "No space left" message is due to your iPad being full.

Hi Peter.

If you look closely at the picture, I’m trying to save in a folder on cloud, the file “ slave September “ was created and saved by the 10th generation pad, and this is why I chose to share this issue with you. It was giving me an error as if the pad was full, but even if I did chose the wrong location, there is 20 gig left on this pad.

I’ve just noticed that the iPad is discharging faster than the charger can charge it, this is obvioulsly an issue on this 2 year old pad. It’s now down to 4% and is not syncing well at all, but when the pad was charged last night, these issues were the same.
