Hey,

I've started using midi commands to control lighting with luminair.

It would be great if I could specify a midi command to be sent when i stop playback, either globally or per song (either would work for my scenario)
Also I'm having a few issues which I believe are down to stagetraxx sending midi messages too quickly when sending multiple messages on song load or at a timestamp
Would a setting be possible to specify a delay in ms when multiple messages are being sent ?

I can work around it by spacing them out mostly, but still would be useful

Finally, I use a bluetooth pedal, to start / stop playback. It would be amazing if I could assign an action that triggered a midi command.
That way I have a start /stop button and a "I want to talk" button that triggered a specific light scene and removed vocal fx etc

I’ve got round this by adding a midi command to the start of all of my songs without a time code so it actions on song load.

i trigger my reverb off using this method so when a song finishes it auto loads the next song which I do not have set to autoplay. I then have a midi command to switch it on at [midi@0:00.01 CC......] to switch it back on as soon as I start the track.

only issue is where a track is trimmed at the start and I have to adjust the midi time code to suit. Bit messy but it works unless you have a long run out on the previous track.

it also means that I can have a standard header on each of my lyric sheets without worrying where the end is and time coding it into each track.

i do agree that it would be great to have a standard midi string in the menu which could be applied to a song stop or the stop button being pressed ( and maybe another for when the song play button pressed too) as it would have saved me days of going through each of my 1300+ tracks.

any thoughts Peter?

Hey, this is similar to what I am doing currently

In the On Song load midi command I send midi which tells luminair to activate a particular light sequence (all of these intro sequences start with a blackout scene)

Then at 0:0.00 I send command to start the sequence playing

It only goes haywire if for some reason I have to stop playback, eg I want to say something and I am auto playing the queue.
I hit the pedal to stop playback before the track kicks in, but lights carry on going

Great minds obviously think alike 😀

Nice idea with the midi string attached to start or stop. I will add it to my todo list.

Cool, any chance of the "send midi" action for pedals, or am I just being cheap and should splash out on a proper midi pedal 😀

Well, I will need to think about a flexible mechanism for this to work. Definitely not something that will make it into version 3.1, but I'm not opposed to that feature.
