metamorfosis18 having a foot control to do things is great , but once you have too many things controllable it starts to defeat its purpose of keeping it simple on stage , specially for those rare occasional needs like a sudden need to just solo the drums and add lib a part of a song or stripping the complexity of a song to just a piano peace or just bass and live guitar, this is very powerful, what I would like is ST4 to have a capability to do this on its interface by a simple quick finger touch firstly, then to be able to program a foot control if it’s something that is greatly needed.
We can massage the order of loop sections all we need now is to have full control of the backing band members while performing, this then virtually replaces a perfectly rehearsed band , this is what a professional band is aiming for perfect performance yet great interaction control with the singer/performer.
I want to be able to build up a song or strip it back to the bare bones depending on the audience at that time , by having an interface designed perfectly to give me this capability when needed, yet not in my face all the time to hog up valuable screen space, this is hard to program Loopy Pro has succeeded to some degree but it can’t do so many things ST3 can do. I would be happy with the EQ idea , one button push opens up a control window that allows you to easily massage your loops SOLO, MUTE , VOLUME UP/DOWN.
To me EQ Is less important while performing , by the time I am on stage I should have my EQ sorted , that’s something that gets done in prep, Master EQ is then used to setup at the beginning of gig to compensate for PA if needed, control of tracks is more valuable while performing to create the perfect mood, all my EQ and balance work is done at home, and foot control adjustments to give me a smooth easy feeling on stage , if I need to tweak my EQ on a song while performing I haven’t done my homework so I am then punished on stage by looking amateurish.
So hopefully the focus on ST4 is maintained on things related directly for great on stage performance with simplicity in mind.
Keep on rockn 🎸
